The Community Feedback Program sounds great but the fact they locked it from other countries makes it feel like “We just want to hear from specific players” when I believe I have good feedback to give. This is where I’ll say my ideas, please forgive my imperfect syntax it’s something I can’t overcome.
While everyone has their own opinion about which halo is best and what’s the important things with each other, I believe there is one important thing that should be kept: Weapon Balance.
There shouldn’t be one perfect technique. Halo 3 had that balance, even the rocket launcher needed skills to use. Once Reach came out, power weapons were upgraded while basic weapons downgraded. To see someone picking up the rocket and you can guarantee he’s going to kill you is what makes the multiplayer frustrating. Getting angry for a game is not good. If I’m killed by someone it should be because I did something wrong. In reach, you couldn’t jump to evade the rocket, the blast radius was so strong for the gameplay it always killed you. The Fuel Rod Gun instant killed with a direct hit, when in Halo 3 it needed 2 direct hits which is far more acceptable for the clip size, rate of fire and uses of the explosive rods. I was killed so many times in Halo Reach by the fuel rod it’s just downright OP.
I believe the most important thing is to have a balance. I don’t care if sprint is added or if there’s thruster packs for some or everyone. All I need is a good balance so everyone gets a chance in any situations and can find their talent somewhere. I loved mixing covenant weapons and understanding every weapons of the game, that was my edge. I don’t throw grenades everywhere, I don’t sprint to hide every seconds, I rarely wait for my shield to come back and I suck with melee. All I want is a fair fight to anyone willing to face me off, using movements as an advantage to dodge incoming dangers. It’s important that everyone gets their advantage. Most will use grenades properly, most will double melee, and I should have a fair chance to kill them by using my gun at range. That’s my gameplay, as everyone has theirs and they should all have a fair advantage if they master their techniques.
I wish I could send this to the feedback program but I live in Canada. I’m 21 and I played and modded enough to know what’s important in a game. I understand why most people are frustrated about new things such as sprint, truster packs and ground pound for everyone, they want to keep their advantage, their techniques. I believe it’s important to have as many opinions as possible to give the best global feedback possible. There’ll be a pattern with everyone’s opinion and I find mine as important than anyone else.
