I love it so far but have a few suggestions:
While I like challenges, you are incentivising completing them over actually playing the objective and playing it well. What is the point of having points in a match if it does nothing toward your progression?
It is frustrating playing in a game where people try to get kills with a specific weapon or a kill frenzy rather than cap a zone or whatever other objective.
There is no solution to this in the flawed challenge-only system we have now other than to make the challenges super easy, which they won’t do as it doesn’t promote the use & purchase of challenge-swaps
The only solution to this is implementing a performance-based XP system & have challenges exist as a secondary progression path for those inclined.
The fact that when I play and a person on my team quits or even when they all quit and it’s just me I feel like we should at least get a little something towards our rank progression.
I mean I never quit a game 9 out of 10 times but this F2P is good I guess but you get people who never played Halo. That is cool but you can’t just quit the game because it’s not “COD” or “Fortnite”
I should almost be halfway thru diamond rank but my team’s lack of playing objectives thinking this is slayer caused my rank to either go down or barely go up when we win games. I had a killing frenzy one game went 19 and 5 and lost. Rank still went down getting to the point why play ranked if it’ll just reset once the new season starts.
IDK I grew up playing Halo since the O.G. Xbox / O.G. Xbox live guess I was just used to a different time on Halo.
I like the game but it’s a beta I know it’ll get better just frustrating when you try to play competitively and stuff outta your control affects your progression.
