Hey 343 and co.,
Just wanted to let you guys know that MM has significantly improved for me since the most recent update. There are a handful of issues left over, but most are unrelated to MM except for one. Under some very odd circumstances (leaving matchmaking twice quickly), the swirling planet background will become black and MM appears to become non-functional, stuck on the “Searching for Players…” stage until force quit. Upon restart, MM returns to normal.
Some notable non-MM related issues:
- Sounds in H2A regularly cut out. Most commonly, the sound associated with the Battle Rifle’s magazine entering the weapon tends to drop frequently. Occasionally, other weapons suffer from this same problem, playing certain sound compositions (weapon fire, but no reload anim sounds) while dropping others. More annoying than anything.
- Not seeing online MCC friends in the Roster display.
Some playlist feedback:
- BR start playlists are weighted way too heavily in the rotations. I love the BR, but I love the dual-wielding dances that happen when everyone starts with an SMG.
- Some other players have vocalized this, but 5v5 is a little too hectic for maps like Lockdown, Zenith, and Warlord. If I wanted to spawn and die endlessly, I’d boot up CoD: AW.
- I know you guys wanted to consolidate playlists, and I may be in the minority here, but playing H4 at 1080p60 is an absolute dream. Would love to play H4 w/ greater than a 20% chance of success in MM.
Also, a special note of thanks for you guys: I know that this launch definitely wasn’t you had hoped / anticipated, but I’m still a fan of the effort the team has put together with MCC. It’s fantastic revisiting one of my favorite shooters of all-time, and I greatly appreciate you guys working weekends and through the holiday to make the product as intended. Eagerly awaiting Halo 5!

I really prefer Big Team in Halo 4. I really want to be able to play it when I feel like it not just some random chance of playing the game I like.
I know they haven’t even fixed all the MM issues yet so playlists aren’t exactly a priority for them right now. I wonder how long I will actually have to wait to play the game I want.
I personally feel no need to Thank 343i for what they sold me.
