With the new “progress saved” vs “checkpoint saved” system in campaign, I find it hard to know when I have saved progress and when it’s safe to quit without losing progress. I find myself anxiously rushing to try and get the next “Progress Saved” before quitting, because if I’m not paying direct attention to it, it can be hard to tell the difference between progress saved and checkpoint saved, especially in the periphery.
I would love to see a marker on the pause screen with the timestamp of the last time progress was saved. That would help me know how safe it is to step away. (This wasn’t needed with the previous system, because it was simpler when it was only checkpoints, and they were more frequent than the “Progress” checkpoints in Infinite.) I would also love to see increased distinction (color? font style?) between the checkpoint and progress save messages, so it is easier to tell the difference when only one appears on the edge of the screen.
