Feedback - Give Season Points to Friends!

Two pieces of critique I hear for the Master Chief Collection: New players are overwhelmed by all the things to unlock with season points, while old players are underwhelmed. It’s definitely a rich-gets-richer system that needs more ways to spend points.

While there should be more to do with Season Points beyond this, being able to send them to my friends would be a great start. I have 40 points, bought everything, while all my friends are behind and have barely started. An opportunity to give them points gives me more incentive to play because I can now shoot for 400 points per friend, and it gives my friends more incentive so they can use the goodies I helped them unlock. A win/win situation!

Rather they didn’t. Game already struggles with population as it is. If people were just given what they want for doing nothing then they’d be less reasons for them to play the game. If there overwhelmed by the amount of things to unlock in MCC then that should help them get invested into playing…unlike Halo Infinite where there’s barely anything to do.

ask them to just play. its very easy to collect them. complete the challenges and get points. simple

Who’s to say we aren’t already? There are a lot of points to get, over 800 for most content with roughly 12 a week maximum and all of us with full time jobs, I’d love to be able to help my boys. It’d make that collaboration more fun knowing that I have new progress to make now on behalf of others.

If you could gift tokens to friends a secondary market would immediately erupt with ‘season whales’ selling their excess tokens. Personally I think they should start awarding tokens after level 100 and that should be enough. The level cap is arbitrary and with it players are bottlenecked on how many tokens they can earn weekly.

Some gamers may care to keep playing and some don’t. Pushing these tokens encourages people to keep playing. There are easier challenges out there to get challenges if don’t have the time but this game seriously needs more players. I believe if everyone could use their saved up tokens and gift them then this game would die fairly quickly. I’m already struggling as it is to find matchs so this would be a bad idea.

I think its a great idea but it should be capped for sure and just a sort of welcome to mcc mechanic like how gatcha games give bonus packs later in their life cycle.

What id prefer to see however is to add AIs to mcc. No dialogue just for the objectives to swap to the AI model in question then jus5 take each games existing models and use em with a transparent texture map and diff colours.
I know its prob more work than 343i care to do for mcc though.

The other is let me spend points on infinite credits.

Lastly theres so many awesome ui art and seasonal arts and such in mcc that could be phenomenal xbox themes and if those were purchased by season points that be neat also older gamertag art like with halo3 CE be pretty sweat rewards imo.

I would vote no for this… Mainly because you know people would be selling their points and then it would no doubt create issues of I bought points from some one and didn’t get them or whatever. New players just have to complete challenges the same way all the other players did. I would like to see an exchange season points for xp system so at least those of us sitting on points can use them for something because I don’t see them adding any more cosmetics anytime soon.

Ya but just cap it have it tied to friends lists and make it for onky pkayers below a certain numbr of points gainded and its just sort of a one time boost for buddies and limit the amount of times you can do it.
Good points though

you said they just started. so they can get first 100 levels sp so a bp can be completed just by leveling up. next 12 sp per week. 10 sp from the tactical challenges. So at the end of each month 58 sp. Its a lot if you think about it.
I myself wasnt even half way through s2 when s3 released. now i completed s8 a week after it released. its not that hard.
The best part is you dont have to complete the challenges actively. Just play and enjoy the game you complete it passively.
