To help 343i develop their next major installment in the Halo franchise, I thought that a guided constructive criticism could be helpful to them for some quality feedback. Also, it keeps things from getting messy.
Anyways, here’s how we play the feedback game: Each player lists one thing that they would like to see kept for the next game, added to the next game, changed in the next game, and removed in the next game. Explanations are insisted upon but not required. I’ll start to give everyone a sample:
Keep: Armor Customization
343i did a great job with the amount of armor pieces you can swap in and out for your Spartan and that level of armor customization should remain.
Add: A Flyable UNSC Vehicle
While it wasn’t necessary, it was really fun to have the Falcon and the Hornet in past Halo games. They made the vehicle sandbox even more diverse and were nice to have in machinimas.
Change: EMPing
A vehicle’s weapons should not be completely disabled when EMPed so that the pilot has some line of defense against the people players who rush them with their plasma pistols that are provided for them from spawn.
Remove: Ordnance Drops
Ordnance Drops are a crutch for unskilled players to get a their hands on power weapons. While it sounds alright on paper, it is disastrous in-game because it provides sloppy gameplay and ruins Halo’s arcade style. Strategically placed weapons on the map trump Ordnance Drops any day.
