Popped in to play again. A few games in arena were just a sad reminder of my once favorite game being just not fun anymore.
Years of Halo with the same Emblem and Halo 5 robs you of that identity and you have to unlock by chance. Well SR74 many hours later and still haven’t unlocked my fav spartan icon. Years later this STILL makes me angry when I log in. Why try to be like COD?
Wildly poor matchmaking. 3x matches of stomping noobs (which is dull), then 2 matches increasing in difficulty where it feels I’m playing against mouse and keyboard players with ridiculously more hours than me in game. I like a challenge but this was just demoralizing so I stopped playing. I’d rather go jump on PC CSGO where at least it feels even.
TTK & Pistol didn’t feel like Halo. Give me an arena with no Halo5 pistol just BR / DMR, Assault rifles and power weapons. Then maybe it will feel more like Halo and less CODish. Which I’m off to play on PC instead because Halo makes a poor COD.
Guys and gals please bring Halo back.
Halo has been a huge part of my life. Have had friends bond with me over it, some have passed away, Halo is still there. I still enjoy Halo Reach and the others. Why don’t I enjoy 4 and 5 as much?
I’m sitting in my lounge listening to the menu music feeling intensely marose while I reminisce of the Halo journey. There’s still so much great stuff here to explore. I really hope the next one is a return to Halo proper.

Agree with #1 so much. When they did away with my “Thor” emblem I used in 2, 3, ODST, and Reach - I was pretty sad. Granted, they did away with it in Halo 4, but still - never brought it back for Halo 5 either. And the random unlocks? -Yoink-.

Dang bro, that sucks. Congrats on the find. Also, R.I.P. to ur homies. They’re legends for playin the game.
Matchmaking IS absolutely terrible. 1 in 10 games is close. The rest are severely lopsided. If Infinite’s system is this bad 343 is going to save me a lot of time because I just won’t play anymore.

Agreed, the way unlocks worked in Halo 5 really grinded my gears, didn’t make much sense to me as someone who’s been playing since CE. Matchmaking balancing has definitely left a lot to be desired as well, it has always needed some fine-tuning as far back as I can remember. I feel your pain.
Honestly I use to play halo 5 until MCC came to steam and I’ve been non stop on that, but the times I played Halo5 multiplayer I enjoyed it immensely especially Warzone, to be quite honest with you all I’m keen for halo 5 to come to pc
