Here’s feedback of the Halo 5 beta, if have any suggestions or comments leave them in the comments, thank you.
What i like:
The Gameplay: The gameplay retains the ‘power weapon’ control and is the 4v4 gameplay we all know and love, just with a twist.
Maps- Every map felt different and added new strategy, even the map remixes
What i dislike:
Spartan Abilities: Spartan abilities were a good idea, just poorly executed, majority of them are completely useless.
Thruster Pack: Thruster Pack is an irritating ordeal to deal with, it makes it so when your about to kill a player, that player can just ‘thrust’ away and run to safety. Or that grenades are just “shield flickers” as i call them to the point where they can just thrust away from my grenades, however i did get kills with them when the enemy player’s thruster pack was on a 4 second cooldown.
Smart-Scope: This was a 50/50 type deal for me, it’s like a sandwich with no bread, it’s like an ADS mechanic but has the halo de-scope mechanic. In my opinion, this should just be re-placed with the normal halo zoom because if you’re gonna have an ADS mechanic don’t add a “de-scope”, then it’s completely useless, this is halo, majority of the time you get shot when zooming.
Killtimes- Death is to quick, increase the killtimes.
Weapon Tuning- All these weapons shred through the shields like butter, yet power weapons like the new Hydra are not as good as an SMG?
Ranking Systems- The CSR (Competitive Skill ranking) is a system that requires no “skill”, it based on W/L’s which shouldn’t be the case with a “skill” ranking.
Overall Experience: My overall experience with the halo 5 beta was mostly irritating. Sure i had some good games but i had to force myself to have fun rather than it coming naturally like the other Classic Halo games. This is just my OPINION but this game is so focused on being competitive, which is fine with me, but it so focused on competing that it’s not focused on just being fun. It hurts me to say this but…this game feels more like Call Of Duty than Halo, i’ve played enough to say that statement. The game has so much potential but with this beta, i feel utterly disappointed with the future of Halo. (And keep in mind this is my opinion, so plz no hatez meh)
