I just want to preface this by saying I’ve just jumped back into Xbox and Halo after essentially skipping the entire Xbone generation and I’ve been having a blast.
I’d love to be able to see more granular campaign stats for MCC on Waypoint. Specifically, I’d like to be able to see my best times and scores for each mission for each difficulty, rather than only for the highest difficulty completed. I’d like to be able to optimize runs for each difficulty. This doesn’t seem like it would require a huge change to the stats system.
Another feature that I would really like that most likely would require more work on 343’s end would be the ability to see stats for each individual campaign run, which could then be linked to the high scores/best time pages. Right now, on Waypoint MCC Service Record, for each mission you see your highest difficulty completion, the highest score, and best time for that mission, only on your highest difficulty completion, but the high score and best time are very likely not from the same run. If every completed campaign mission run was logged, you could mouse over or click on the current high score/best time stat for a given mission to see more details about the run that yielded that score/time. This should minimally include [Game, Mission, Difficulty, Number of Players, Active Skulls].
One slightly annoying effect of these features not being available is that unless I play a given game on the MCC on Easy first (which is where I’ve been doing Par Times), I can’t see how close I am to the Par Time on Waypoint, I have to go on the Career section on Xbox to look at the achievements.
Again, I’ve been immensely enjoying the MCC, but these QOL improvements which may not even need to touch the game’s code would be greatly appreciated!
