As a PC gamer I have access to voice chat but sometimes I find it more convenient (and sometimes often preferable) to text in game briefly to let team mates know a strategy or to simply communicate. I love this feature in MCC I wish it can be enhanced a bit more where it’s a dedicated chat where most users can use it. I also thought about quick access commands to further enhance communication across the board for both PC and console. Would love to hear everyone’s opinion on this. I come from a Halo 1 and 2 background where text chat was almost everything I used to communicate. Also a big thank you to 343I for making Halo everything that was dreamt about!
Hey PopSItuation, big fan bro. I definetly agree, it would be super helpful! My girlfriend isn’t really a Halo gamer but she agreed to play Infinite with me when it comes out, I’m an Xbox gamer and she’s PC. It’d be nice for her, and all PC gamers to be able to efficiently communicate using a text chat box with major enhancements and commands. heck, even Xbox gamers like myself could make use of a keyboard to communicate. I think it’d be efficient, fast, easy and very very useful.

Hello my friend! I’m so glad we can agree on this! Btw having a partner who plays halo with you is ultimate goals!! I am still in a shock awe moment that the gap between xbox and PC has finally been bridged and everyone can play these amazing Halo titles. I can only imagine how strong of a community it would be with players with mics and those with no mics can still enjoy a fun game. Thanks for your reply! 
Definitely wouldn’t mind this feature. I too play on PC and sometimes find it more convenient.
I’ve been using ingame chat on Xbox more frequently and noticed a delay between my input and the output text. Not the whole message but my actual individual letters. It’s way annoying
A system similar to battlefield would be pretty cool, having pre set voicelines/texts can be the key for the victory
I would be fine if they made a chat that was like the one in Valorant. You can text just your team, the whole game including the enemy team, or directly to a friend
The MCC in-game chat does give me some laughs. I would like to see an improved return for Infinite.
