Some of you may know FDS (Fatal Death Squad) from Halo 2 days, and some of you may not. I’m not going to sit here and tell you guys, “Oh yeah, we’re the best clan out there.” For starters we are not a clan, we are a Gaming Family and a safe-haven for dozens of gamers. Also, yes there are better clans out there, but with the help of all of you we will be the best community someday. Also with the help of active participants, we will get the ball rolling. We have about 100 members right now, and we hope to grow. We do have a ranking structure, and we do have branches in Halo: Reach, Black Ops, and Gear of War 3. Yes, you have to change your Motto, Emblem, and Colors in game. We also have a weekly meeting on sundays. Saying a community is not a clan is the same as saying religion is not a cult.
On the other hand, a community is certainly different from a clan because people know each other and they’re more interactive. It’s a small difference but this is very noticeable on small ones. Also consider the Mythic community. They know each other well.
I’ve joined several clans but most are like the typical forums and most die off. A good community is one in which you have the most awesomest memories that you keep outside of Internet activity in a treasure box (i.e. High Impact Halo).
The polar opposite of a good community is The Flood and Bungie.net Reach forum. 343 forums must never allow that kind of infection.

Come on. Most of us came from Bungie; we knew how it was. The reach forums were infested with trolls( I HATE TROLLS) and flamers (that did not help at all with the topic of the thread) and whiners (there’s a difference between feedback/suggestions and whining… They were whiners). The flood wasn’t that bad. But I didn’t spend a lot of time there. But on to the the good side of Bnet. They were a community that was amazing. Hopefully 343i will learn from Bungies goods and bads.

I’ve pulled similar stunts regarding the discussion of bnet here on the waypoint forums, and, subsequently, my posts were removed. Yours aren’t for the time being so let us relsih in what we can discuss about bnet. GO!

Lol I’m trying not to be harsh on Bnet. I loved Bnet. Key word loved. It just went bad after a while. Like how cookies go stale.
