Hope you are all excited for the launch of the Master Chief Collection, because I know we at Forerunner Conflict are! We are so excited that we’ve organized a Win-Win event on Master Chief’s Collection launch, and we hope all of you can be a part of this! We at Forerunner Conflict have decided to set up a CHARITY EVENT through the use of Xbox One’s capabilities of live streaming, with the focus being a 24 HOUR LIVESTREAM EVENT OF ALL THINGS MASTER CHIEF COLLECTION RELATED! Here is the basic FAQ on everything you need to know regarding this charity event.
Q. What Charity organization are you donating to and/or through?
A. All proceeds of this event will be donated to the children’s charity organization Extra Life. Extra Life allows for gamers and gaming communities to set up 24 hour video game marathons for the purpose of raising money which will be donated to a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital of the gamers or community’s choice. Since 2008, when Extra Life was established, they have raised thousands of dollars which have gone to local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Forerunner Conflict has selected the Doernbechers Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon, all of the proceeds raised will go DIRECTLY to the hospital. Q. How can I be sure this is safe? Where does my donation go once I donate? Where do I donate?
A. This is taken directly from Extra Life’s website: “Credit card donations may be made on a participant’s fundraising page. Cash and check donations will be collected by participants and submitted to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. All funds will be disbursed directly to the hospital selected during registration.” You will be able to donate directly to a fund that Extra Life has set up for us. All donators will have the option to donate to the fund through PayPal as well. All proceeds will go directly to Doernbechers Children’s Hospital. Q. What is the donation goal of the event?
A. We are aiming to raise at least $1000. Though we would prefer to go above and beyond that goal, any amount we can collect would help greatly.
Q. When and how long will the charity event run? Where can I view the Livestream?
A. We will be livestreaming constantly for 24 hours starting at 12:00PM EST on the day of MCC’s launch, November 11, 2014. The charity event is scheduled to end at 12:00PM EST on November 12. However if the event is successful enough and we get enough streamers we will hopefully continue the event to raise as much money as possible.

Q. What else will be going on during the event?
A. Along with the actual charity event, during our livestreams, Forerunner Conflict will be giving out PRIZES!!! Periodically during the stream we will be giving out Shirts, Xbox Live Gift Cards, Stickers, etc., so be involved for chances to win Forerunner Conflict merchandise!
Q. Why is Forerunner Conflict doing this?
A. First and foremost we want to do our part to help the world. The purpose of this event is to provide moral and financial support to children who are in desperate need. This event also allows us to help put a positive stamp on not only the Master Chief Collection, but the entire video gaming community as a whole.
Q. What is Forerunner Conflict (FC) and how can I tell they are legitimate?
A. Forerunner Conflict is a Halo-focused gaming community that has existed since June of 2006 (in the glory days of Halo 2), which means we have been around for almost NINE YEARS. We can be considered one of, if not the original War Simulator communities from the Halo Xbox Live universe. We have roughly 125 active members right now and are growing quickly because of the excitement of the MCC. The main part of Forerunner Conflict is that we have two armies, the Royal Enforcement Deployment Division (R.E.D.D. Army) and the Brotherhood Legion of United Exiles (B.L.U.E. Army) who fight battles every Sunday @ 6PM EST in order to control maps on a developed War Map.
We legally own the domain name of Forerunner Conflict and we pay for a sophisticated forum board. Throughout our long history, we’ve had a mission of enhancing the Halo gamers online experience through exciting custom games & battles, building long-lasting friendships (seriously, we even had two of our members get married and had a kid), and providing a respectful and all-around fun environment to be a part of.
