Favourite Primary Weapon?

Hi everyone,

So Halo 4 has included a great range of primary weapons, now out of these, which do you prefer??

-Battle Rifle
-DMR
-LightRifle
-Carbine Rifle

I use both DMR and BR as my main primary’s. On BTB Maps it’s the DMR for me. Smaller maps like Adrift I use the BR, and if the Carbine ever gets a buff I’d probably start using that too.

Ive used all of them as primary weapons except for the DMR, in Regicide I usually use the Storm Rifle for a quick kill. And in most other game types the Carbine or the Battle rifle  .

…where’s my Assault Rifle? I DEMAND TO SEE MY LOVELY ASSAULT RIFLE UP ON THAT POLL!

Varies on the map. 95% of the time I’m with my BR. then DMR last/

…That’s a really biased poll. Are you saying people ONLY use the scoped weapons? Gee, nice work.

I use the Assault Rifle, BR and DMR, with more loadouts featuring the AR. It’s nice to have a Halo again where the AR is a perfectly viable option, instead of being totally weak. In fact, more often than not, I find the AR is superior in close quarters. So I would have picked AR.

DMR for BTB
BR for Slayer
Carbine for S-Ops
LR for Solo Legendary

Use AR for 1 on 4s (so with a holo matrix I can end up ahead with the assured kills I get from having the tactical advantage), br on haven since it works, and dmr on maps like abandon and adrift and complex that have long sightlines.

BR …my love

I don’t really have a favourite. Most of them come in handy for select and specific situations - where using them leads me to prevail. For example:

DMR: Ranged firing
BR: Assault (ironically)
AR: 1 V 1s
LR: Support
Carbine: Range + Assault

I like the Carbine the most, but until I get better with my aim I have been using the DMR and the BR. Once I master the commendations for those two guns I will return to the Carbine, and hopefully, I will be able to kill with it.

I want it to be the LR, but since the DMR is just more versatile in every aspects (as good as a BR at short range, more precise at longer range than LR, and does more damage when unscoped than the LR…)
