I’m curious to see who has favourite levels similar to mine or who likes what levels
Halo ce, my favourite mission was library, it was a -Yoink- on legendary but super fun for the fact you got to kill the flood over and over
Halo 2, final mission, killing tartarus was an amazing feeling after all the bs he gives you, and the build up to the boss fight is intense, on mcc and on classic it was a difficult mission
Halo 3, crows nest, crowsnest has to be my all time halo 3 favourite mission as to the fighting in the hangar and the barracks against brutes, I also enjoyed using little short cuts here and there for speed runs when I felt like it
You’ve got quite an interesting list there! I also like The Library, but I’ve never heard anyone say that was their favorite mission in the game. I also think it’s neat that you like Crow’s Nest so much. Here’s my list:
CE - Assault on the Control Room
2 - Metropolis
3 - Halo
Maybe I just have a thing for snowy levels in Halo games, who knows?
I’d say for me it’s Halo on Halo: CE, Delta Halo/Regret on Halo 2, and The Covenant on Halo 3!
Halo CE- Pillar of Autumn. I like the drama of it and the speed in which you can do the levels.
Halo 2- Delta Halo. Think the opening cutscene is ridiculously cool and the mission is really fun to play.
Halo 3- The Covenant. Its a long mission but my God is it fun. Vehicle sections, Killing Truth, Flood midway through and alliance and last but not least the Double Scarab battle.
I dunno why but I like all the original trilogy’s first levels besides Halo 2.
-
Halo CE - Pillar of AutumnLove the close quarters combat in the level.
-
Halo 2 - Metropolis/Delta HaloI can’t decide for which one. Both missions have an awesome tank sequence and a good sniping area (if this was not played on legendary).
-
Halo 3 - Sierra 117Same story with Halo CE for the most part. What gets me in this mission is the music. Makes me feel nostalgic after 10 years of playing the game for the first time.
Halo CE - 343 Guilty Spark
Halo 2 - High Charity
Halo 3 - Floodgate
I like the flood … a lot.

flood missions are awesome
Halo CE : Assault on the control room, loved the area and variety, silent cartographer close 2nd, the first stage of truth n rec is my fave bit in the game tho.
Halo 2: Delta halo / Regret, all the double levels in halo 2 are just 1 level in my eyes, this one being my fave, also for the location and variety
Halo 3: The covenant, ark and storm are close but covenant feels the most ‘complete’ for me.
I liked The Library too, and Two betrayals. I don’ remember H2 campaign much since I haven’ played it since it came out, but for Halo 3 it’ probably Tsavo highway
CE: The Maw
H2: Cairo Station
H3: Halo
CE: Two Betrayals
H2: Delta Halo or Quarantine Zone
H3: Halo

I can agree with halo 2, ark was fun on halo 3 and decent pick for halo ce

its defo my favourite and guess theres a first for everything then isn’t there xD, the last missions for halo ce and halo 3 I like aswel for the soul purpose of driving the hog at the end amongst all the madness
Halo Combat Evolved: I’m in a tie between Pillar of Autumn, 343 Guilty Sparks, the Library and The Maw. I love the way you’re introduced to Halo in the first level. But I also love the suspense, mystery and fear that 343 Guilty Spark gives you. I love the challenge that the Library gives you, even on Legendary. And I love the Maw because of how epic it is to just fight through everything with your shotgun, not to mention that Warthog run that, while easy, is still fun.
Halo 2: While I love Halo 2’s story, I’m a bit weird with Halo 2’s campaign, probably because I didn’t played it as much as the other games’. However, I have some favorites. Those are Gravemind, Uprising and Great Journey. I really love Gravemind simply by thinking that you’re blasting though the Covenant’s mobile city while sending all they want against you, only to fail. You feel bad-Yoink-, especially when that music kicks in at the Mausoleum. For Uprising, I simply love it because you get to avenge your brothers who we’re slaughtered by apes. Visually, this level, even in classic graphics, looks appealing and feels real, and gives you challenges that, with a bit of strategy, can be completed very easily.
For the Great Journey, it’s an epic last level where you get to destroy Covenant troops to get your key to the control room (the Scarab) only to make an alliance with your enemy and proceed to kick the Covenant forces to Hell.
Halo 3: For Halo 3, I choose The Ark, The Covenant, Cortana and Halo.
Everyone loves the Ark, there’s no need to explain. Beautiful environments, backgrounds (Like the Milky Way Galaxy which looks beautiful combined with the blue sky of the installation). It’s battles are engaging and fun, but what makes this level amazing has to be the music. Marty absolutely NAILED IT.
The same can be applied to the Covenant, however, I feel the fights are more engaging and epic, but still fun. And while playing the mission, you get a feeling of finale as the Covenant make their desperate final stand to activate the rings. However, what KILLS this level (Positively) is the final vehicle section. It’s just epic and once again MARTY O’DONNEL KILLS IT AGAIN WITH IT’S GOD-LIKE WORK. Fighting and destroying 2 Scarabs is super satisfying and making a temporary alliance with an unlikely enemy makes this level a true masterpiece.
For Cortana, I love the aesthetics, not the mission. The music gives that feeling of dread. The background gives a dead, scary feeling. It’s amazing. I would like to have seen the city itself. What changed in the city? Did it got covered in so much biomass that it’s not a city anymore? Is there a big Flood form on the city? Something would be cool, but the Mausoleum you can spot in the background already gives you a feeling of what the city may have turned out. When you look at it, you get a feeling of discomfort, fear… it’s… scary. Here’s a link to Halopedia showing the Mausoleum in ruins. WARNING: This image is extremely unsettling (at least for me).
Finally, with the mission Halo, it just screams epicness and finale. While climbing up the Zigarot was a bit of a pain with the great amount of Flood jumping at you it still felt good and fun. The second section, after you kill Spark, feels that you’re on a clock. Feels epic to fight through. I also like the message the Gravemind says as you enter that part reminiscent to Halo CE’s copy-pasted rooms of ATTCR and Two Betrayals:
> Resignation is my virtue. Like water I ebb, and flow; Defeat is just an addition of time to a sentence I never deserved… but you imposed.
Finally, the Warthog run is the true definition of epicness.
