Halo has always been host to some incredible music. Marty O’Donnell created some of the most memorable themes. And now, Kazuma Jinnouchi is doing a great job creating the new tracks. Here`s my ranking of my favorite soundtracks:
Halo 2/Halo 2 Anniversary Official Soundtrack(s) - Halo 3/Halo 3 ODST Official Soundtrack(s) - Halo Reach Official Soundtrack - Halo 5 Guardians Official soundtrack - Halo Combat Evolved Official Soundtrack - Halo 4 Official Soundtrack - Halo Wars Official SoundtrackWhat are your favorite soundtracks?
My favorite soundtrack is the Halo 2/ Halo 2 Anniversary ost.
There were so many great soundtracks in Halo 2, especially tracks like The Heretic Hero and Heavy price paid.
They did a amazing job with the remastered tracks in my opinion.
All of the Halo soundtracks are amazing, but honestly, I feel that only Marty is suitable for composing music for the franchise, because his style goes along with the game so perfectly. His music had a lot of variation in mood/feeling, a lot more in Halo 4 and 5, not saying Kazuma is bad, but his music seems to have one mood: action, as compared to Marty’s diversity.
Halo 5 (for containing original pieces as well as incorporating pieces from Reach, H3, H4, & CE) - Halo 2 (epic, wide range of styles) - Combat Evolved (it started it all) - Halo 4 (shut up, I like it) - ODST (for uniqueness in the series) - Reach - Halo Wars - Halo 3 (90% CE’s sound track … and not in the Halo 5 sense of incorporating it into new music, but in the it’s-just-90%-CE’s-soundtrack sense)
every once in a while the original Halo theme will come onto my Pandora Disturbed playlist, which is my workout playlist. it gets me more pumped than a Disturbed song. haha
