Im gonna be a pain but im gonna ask is this based off multiplayer or story? I only ask because i rate the games differnt based on multiplayer and story
Halo 4. I have my own reasons why I like it so much, and its not just necessary the game, but the wait until it releases too.

Halo 2 hands down was the best multiplayer experiences i have ever had in an fps. Halo 4 is a close second but due to the way 343 handles is business, specialization codes and its glitches, it will never be as good.

I am the exact opposite lol. I would kill for a multiplayer experience that was more like H2 with ranks etc. The H2 rank system worked amazingly. You win you go up, didn’t matter how well you did personally so you were helping the team win the objective. It did not award boosting your K/D, it did not reward the guy with tons of kills (aside from a slayer game), so it rewarded good team play. Also didn’t have that stupid “level lock” that H3 rank system suffered from once you get enough games under your belt. I don’t even know how that made it to the final game without being tweaked. Only problem was people being boosted up levels. Not sure exactly how to fix it but I could deal with it to have the H2 ranks back.
Ranting aside, I loved H2 and aside from the imba noob combo it was hands-down the best MP experience I have had of any online game, not just the best of the Halo series. The H4 campaign is great IMO as well and I am really looking forward to what 343i has to offer with H5. I just hope that the MP gets better soon with H4. If the ranking system goes well then I think that this game could be one of the best Halo games to date. Assuming that there are nice competitive maps coming out, the rank system awards teams, not individual players, and they make a good ranked playlist to tie it all together. Here’s to hoping for some more maps like Haven, Adrift, and Relay as well!

Halo 2 just did it for me. I love all the other Halo games (even Halo Wars) it just 2 was amazing.
