(Had to combine options because we can only have 8 choices.) Feel free to comment and discuss below.
The AR being an actual viable weapon was very refreshing … and I’m a big fan of the gun anyway.
The BR was my go-to in the beta. Before BR starts, it was the first weapon I would find on the map each match. It felt smooth and solid. I liked it a lot.
The Light Rifle scope alone was the sexiest thing in the whole beta.
The DMR … I’m just rubbish with DMRs. So I would pick it up when I needed a ranged weapon and swap it for a BR without hesitation. It also looked ugly and unfinished (no offense 343), the older versions from Reach & H4 had cool scope with a bullet count on them.
The SMG was a beast, and totally in a good way (maybe a tad OP)
The Hydra was awesome once I learned to lock-on then fire at the sky.
The Magnum was cool (is it a variant of the H2 magnum by chance?) I say it’s as good as Reach’s & H4’s magnums and that’s saying a lot because those guns were great (especially Halo 4’s, it was the best magnum since CE)
Let’s see …swords … they’re swords. Prophet’s Bane was cool.
Rocket Launcher had a cool reload animation, but it ain’t no Spnkr.
And that’s about it
… so favorite … um … BR. No, AR. Well, the BR & AR are perfect, we’ll just leave it at that … I just don’t know which to vote for.

I overall agree.
Light Rifle was a big favorite of mine, it performed really well as an on map weapon and looked really nice aesthetically.
Torn between the LR and SMG… That was my dream setup in the Beta. Countered pretty much everything. Guess I’ll go for the LR for the 3sk goodness, though.
Really though, they all felt good. Balanced in a way never before seen.
(Oh, and MrMartini? There was a bullet counter on the H5 DMR scope too. It was just part of the smart scope overlay rather than the gun. :3)
LightRifle? LightRifle!
LightRifle, LightRifle, LightRifle, LightRifle, LightRifle, LightRifle, LightRifle, LightRifle, LightRifle, LightRifle.
…Yeah. The AR was good, too, though.
AR was actually a useful weapon. I loved it.
SMG was a tad OP.
BR was fantastic to use. It felt smooth.
DMR was kinda clunky to me. To be honest, I was never a DMR kind of person.
Lightrifle was awesome. It felt unique, like it was it’s own kind of weapon and not a UNSC/Covenant knockoff. Also, the scope was -Yoink!- as hell.
Sword/Prophet’s Bane was really cool. Not much else to say.
Sniper is still twinning with WALL-E. Functions great, though. A little less magnetism and it’ll be perfect.
Hydra needed more damage. Still worked great when I used it like a Javelin.
Rocket Launcher functions the same, except it looks ugly now. At least the SPNKr is coming back as a Legendary Weapon.
Magnum felt great.
Frag grenade was fine.
Plasma grenade needs a buff.
Why can’t I have a BR/AR selection? I mean, a gamemode with both of those guns as starting weapons would be amazing.
Yeah, the LR was awesome in the beta. Powerful, yet took skill to use.
I really liked the SMG, but thought it was too powerful to have four on one map (Truth). Hopefully two will be replaced with Plasma Rifles.
AR was fun to use, but a bit too accurate for an automatic. Thankfully it’s being nerfed.
I like the direction 343 is going in with the Pistol, giving it a 12-shot magazine again, but it still needs to be buffed as a starting weapon. Remove the recoil and improve accuracy. The worst part of AR + Pistol starts was being spawnkilled by the enemy team with BRs/DMRs. Pistol needs to have the same range as the BR at least.
BR felt pretty good, but should be a bit harder to use.
DMR was ok. Thank god they’re changing the scope. Ditto with sniper rifle.
Rocket Launcher seems balanced.
Hydra is definitely underpowered, but a cool concept.
Swords were awesome.

> Agree, I am a hater of the AR in all of the other games, but Halo 5, it had a use.

> YES. The BR was amazing in the Beta, I loved the reticle, it was fantastic to aim with, unlike Halo 2/3.
> The Light Rifle scope alone was the sexiest thing in the whole beta.
> Meh, I don’t agree with this, but I did enjoy the sound it made.

> Slightly agree, I’m not bad with the DMR, at least not in Halo 4. I was fantastic at it, then… I played the Halo 5 beta, and LOVED the BR. I had to switch to it in Halo 4 because of it.
> The SMG was a beast, and totally in a good way (maybe a tad OP)
> LOVED the SMG, at close distances, it was insane.
> The Hydra was awesome once I learned to lock-on then fire at the sky.
> Hated the Hydra, was too worried about firing and still locking on to them, causing me to miss all the time. I’d rather have the rocket.
> The Magnum was cool (is it a variant of the H2 magnum by chance?) I say it’s as good as Reach’s & H4’s magnums and that’s saying a lot because those guns were great (especially Halo 4’s, it was the best magnum since CE)
> Seemed more powerful than Halo 2/3, but less powerful than Halo 1. Halo 4’s was… slightly more powerful, but it was still worthwhile to have as a secondary.
> Let’s see …swords … they’re swords. Prophet’s Bane was cool.
> Nothing special, they were just swords, I agree. The prophet’s bane though… just a different color.
> Rocket Launcher had a cool reload animation, but it ain’t no Spnkr.
> Loved the Spnkr, much better, but yes, it did have a cool reload.

LOVE THE BR, period. LOVED it. That and the SMG, freakin’ loved the… crap, I forgot the name of it, but the one they tossed you into from moving tracks, and you had 1 life and multiple rounds… LOVED it.
