I prefer Halopedia for quick reference, sometimes I use Waypoint’s Universe entries and Canon Fodder articles, and I’ll use a book (Halo Encyclopedia, Halo: The Essential Visual Guide, Halo 4: The Essential Visual Guide, Halo Mythos) if I have it on hand.

CIA gave the best answer (obviously) but if I could add something on I would say be a little careful with the halo encyclopedia book. Most of it is great but there are some inconsistencies and it’s also outdated

I love all my source books the most. I also go to Halo Canon for fun, and Halopedia for quick answers.

Halopedia is the most reliable besides Canon Fodder and Waypoint Universe section. Do not go to other sites unless you want opinion based references.

One more vote for Halopedia. Sometimes at work when I’m bored I’ll just click on Random Page and start reading.
