Even though we don’t have too much info on Forge at the moment, what is everyone favorite part of Halo 4’s forge?
Me, I like the magnet feature. Its a pain in the rear end on Reach’s Forge trying to perfectly line up things. such as bridges.

I don’t like to toot my own horn here, but as a “pro” forger, I really am enjoying what i’m going to be able to do with the new features that they HAVE shown. The dynamic lighting is going to be my friend.
As for magnets and duping? Magnets, not too excited about, I never had a problem when it came to lining things up, but I know it will help people.
Duplication does sound like it is going to make my life easy.

Oh yes
Magnets, Object Lock, Trait Zones, Duplication, Object Highlights, and Dynamic Shadows are the only things we know about. Shadows will make the maps look more legit so that is what I’m looking forward to.

As for the magnet feature, i really don’t have a problem lining things up, but i’m a bit of a perfectionist, so if i see something isn’t perfect it drives me crazy, plus it will save time.

The dynamic lighting, although I hope there will be a function to light interiors separately.
The magnets. Everything else is a convenience, the magnets are a god-send.
My favourite thing about Forge? The fact that we now have three forge environments with their own pallets, that aren’t grey. I can’t stress enough how much custom games were ruined in Halo Reach because of the single Forge map and pallet.

all the small things that make a big difference
Magnets, object lock, and shadows.
I never really had a big problem matching things up (I used the coordinate system for my three maps), but magnets will definitely speed things up.
The only thing missing is AI.

I really hope there’s a grouping option so I can be clever with gravity lifts and make a rocket ship.
