Favorite Memories From Past Halo Games?

My Favorite memories are from Halo 3. Countless hours playing custom games until 3 in the morning in my dads basement. Friends showing me glitches and skull locations. I’m hoping to have my friends experience exactly what I went through with TMCC. What are your favorite memories? And what new ones are you looking forward to creating?

8 Years old, playing Halo 2 at my cousins house for hours with all his highschool friends.

Playing Halo 1 and 2’s campaign at a friends house with him and his father.

Playing Halo 1, 2, 3 campaign over and over again when I didn’t have Xbox Live.

Playing countless hours of Halo 3 matchmaking, campaign, custom games.

When I first started playing halo, first time fighting the flood in CEA was thrilling. I liked to imagine I was actually there in the library having hordes of space zombies climbing out of every nook and cranny.

Tower of Power on Ascension in Halo 2. Enough said.

way back when I was like 9-10 years old I remember getting my first double kill in Halo:CE on my brothers PC.

Up in blue teams cave on that ridge had two guys in it. I come up and jump around the corner and throw a frag before land. The grenade goes off killing one instantly and I fire one shot from my pistol to finish the other guy. They didn’t even get the chance to return fire.

Ever since then I have just been addicted to multiplayer. I can’t wait to relive that experience in November :stuck_out_tongue:

Playing Halo 2 for the first time, split screen aroud my friend’s house.

Calling said friend when Halo 3 arrived and playing the campaign split screen with him until the early hours of the morning.

Spending hours playing some insane Halo 3 custom games.

Every single moment I had in Halo 2. Except when I did Halo 2 LASO. That was awful.

When I was about 6 or 7 years old, my sisters boyfriend had an Xbox with Halo CE. Beating the game in one sitting. Was amazing.

Playing h3 MM for the first time

I hated Halo…until I actually played it. Then I fell in love. I would stay in my dads basement all day all night playing Halo 3 meeting new people. The community was amazing. I’d only come out to eat. I was addicted. But I only got to play it every two weeks because my parents are divorced so 3 days every two weeks I got to play. I miss those days.

My god, so many memories from the past. I’ve forgotten a lot of the good times I had on the past Halo’s, but there are a couple I can still remember. I remember going to LAN parties with the maximum of 16 people. It was so much fun yelling at each other across the house. Then there were all the great Zombies matches on Halo 2. We almost always played exclusively on Foundation because you could barricade yourself in the corner rooms. All the modded maps were fun too. I never made a modded map, but when I would join a random game, it was always so much fun because it was completely different. There were things like Donkey Kong, getting outside the bounds of the map, and even race tracks. No Forge required. Sadly, that’ll most likely be gone now due to dedicated servers. Ah well, I’ll just have to hang on to those memories.

Then came Halo 3. With Forge came endless possibilities. There was Jenga, which I’m sure a lot of players are familiar with, the various race tracks that people would build, the custom Infection maps that were almost always interesting, cops and robbers gametypes complete with Forged prisons of all kinds, and then there was Quicksand. The goal was to drive around the outside of Sandtrap and avoid the exploding mines while also avoiding zombies that could run pretty fast.

There were also a lot of good times on Combat Evolved, but not nearly as many due to the lack of an online component. So many shenanigans on Boarding Action… wait, I get to play that with a full 16 people now in MCC… oh my god this’ll be glorious.

Finishing halo ce and halo 2 coop with my bro. All the countless hours of multiplayer awesmones, dont even know where to start

Playing 2v2 or 3v3 system link Halo 2 with my step brothers and friends. We would play for hours upon hours and it never got old or boring. I still miss it very much to this day.

One of the best times if my life.

Countless hours playing custom games or my rage fits while trying to rank up in lone wolves. It was stressful but all I wanted to do was get better at Halo to get closer to becoming a general… never pulled it off, but looks like may have another shot at it :stuck_out_tongue: depending on the ranking system of course.

Well, it would probably be the countless hours spent on CE waaaay back in the day. Split screen custom games, going TK crazy in AotCR, and more.

Then there was the part where I was stuck on the second level for a week because neither me nor my brother could figure out that you had to floor it and keep it floored to get over the jump in the “unnatural” cave… Yeah… that was pretty bad…

  • LANs I went to for H2 back when I was 17-19 because I didn’t have XBL at the time.

  • When I finally got XBL and I started playing Halo 2 online.

  • When Halo 3 came out I worked the midnight at my GameStop and I was just so stoked got everyone hyped up and held a tournament.

  • The first 50 I got Halo 3 in Mid 08. I started out pretty bad at Halo and decided I wanted to get better. When i got my first 50 I thought “OK I’m a long way from where I started”.

P.S. This last one doesn’t involve me. Watching MLG Vegas 2006, Carbon takes down Final Boss. 2006 Karma one of the best.

I’ve played Halo CE, but I got into Halo through Halo 2 when I could play MM on 360. Then moved to Halo 3 spending hours pretty much days in the summertime ranking up, meeting new people, and having fun.

My most memorable moments would have to be in Halo 3 MM and playing custom with new friends.

Campaigns.

Multiplayer is fun and all, but for me, Halo is the story.

Repeatedly punching a prophet in the face.

All of the custom game nights with friends. From Shotties No Shields on Chiron TL-34 in CE to Zombies on Foundation in H2 to Halo on Halo in H3 and even a couple of gems in H4. I sure hope I’ll be able to re-download all of my favorites custom gametypes and forge maps in the MC Collection so I can play them all over again 'cuz everyone needs a break from competitive side every once in awhile.
