Just curious what maps people really liked that aren’t in the multiplayer map pool any longer. Are Cliffhanger, Think Twice, or Atom still around? I feel like I used to play A LOT of games on those. Always hated Eden Minor, though… ugh… Yours?
As far as I know they haven’t been in Halo Reach matchmaking for well over a year, maybe even 2 years or more (don’t play Reach much any more). Your best bet is to check what maps are in the current Reach playlists by going here

Try looking on the file search thing on the in game menus. I’m sure if you type in the name of the maps and search they will be out there somewhere. I used to love playing on the map Rebirths and Ziggurat before they were removed, but there were many others that were better than the ones currently in rotation.
I agree I miss a lot of those forge maps too … but what I really miss:
All the dlc maps:
Tempest
Anchor 9
Breakpoint
Condemned
Highlands
Ridgeline
They are in the pool … but not really lol
I lament over not seeing these maps for years now. It’s a shame because they were one of the few appealing parts of Reach and now that the dlc only playlist is gone I never see them anymore. The most I can do is start up a custom game by myself and walk around the desolate battlefield remembering what once was … I’m so glad I capture every match of any halo I play so I can go back and watch my gameplays of these dlc maps … I would love to see them show up in matchmaking again but alas it’s over.
I can only hope Halo 5 has bot support so at the very least like with CoD black Ops II and Ghosts you can play ALL multiplayer maps (and dlc) to their fullest (any game mode) in a custom game setting. Halo needs this so there are not more wasted DLC maps … heck even Halo 4 I’ve yet to see some of the dlc maps. Not ONCE during the dlc playlist did I get to see vertigo or Pitfall.
I agree! I actually just posted another forum question about this same thing. There were really some great maps that are no longer in the rotation. Think Twice and Affinity were a couple favorites that I have been able to download for custom game play. It sure is disappointing that they aren’t in the mp rotation though.

Ooo, I completely forgot about Treasury. I was always able to rush rockets down below on that one pretty successfully. Usually only one person was challenging. And it had reasonably defensible bases to rack up sprees from.
I never got the flow of Affinity all that well. Rushing rockets always worked out pretty well on that map, too, but since your “base” area could be infiltrated from so many angles, I always felt like I got wrecked by someone coming up the ramp whilst I was engaged with 1-2 other players up top middle.
I liked Cliffhanger for the ability to get Shotty/Snipes and dominate pretty easily. And the bases were uniquely configured leading to interesting conflicts.
Think Twice always moved a little too fast for me. Everybody pushing middle for grav hammer with nades.
