What’s your favorite map in Halo 4?
I would say mine is Vortex
Longbow, i like snow and symmetrical maps
Haven and Longbow.
They all kinda suck

Small - Haven
Large - Ragnarok
Haven, because it symmetrical and feels more like an arena type map.

Vortex is by far the worst halo map ever. i can’t help but to think the op is being sarcastic.
Meltdown is my favorite map.
Small - Haven and Abandon.
Large - Ragnarok and Shatter.

Those are my top Halo 4 maps.
1st:adrift
2nd:haven
3rd:vortex
4th:exile
5:solace
Haven functions decently for slayer.
Adrift and Solace would both be good flag maps without the boltshot bringing every game to a standstill, with no power weapons on the map to break said standstill.
Abandon has my vote for one of the most competitive asymmetrical maps ever made by Bungie or 343. The only thing holding it back is surprise the boltshot.
None of the other maps really matter. All of the small maps in this game are pretty good. Better than Reach’s maps by far.
Haven/Adrift for small teams, Shatter for big teams (I know I know it’s a DLC).
Best:
For 4v4 - Abandon - I love close fights. Then Haven, then Adrift, then Solace (Harvest is too big for 4v4).
For 8v8 - Meltdown - this map gives something for everyone, no matter how you like to play. Then Exile (however this map shows up much too often), then Vortex, then Wreckage, then Longbow (however this map is my number 1 for Dominion).
Worst:
For 4v4 - Complex - not only too big for 4v4, but also broken (frame rate issues on split screen).
For 8v8 - Rangarok - I’ve enough of Valhalla after 5 years of Halo 3, also this map is totally opposite of what I like in BTB (see above).
From DLC - Shatter - totally unplayable on split screen due to most terrible frame rate issues I’ve seen on Xbox 360.
Haven & Harvest
ragnarok is still rocking it since halo 3
Haven or Solace on 4v4-- I like Haven for flanking any entrenched enemies trying to hold a position and Solace just has a great feel to it (along with flanking underneath people). Longbow I like because of the snow, I live in a desert so it’s a pleasant change of pace.
The only half way decent maps are Haven and Adrift.
