Favorite Map Thread

Forums are a bit slow, so I thought I would start something new.

List your favorite map for 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3. Leave a short reason why too.

1v1: Blood Gulch/Blood River - I love the maps with lots of hooks because games tend to be more fast paced, and you see alot more lower tier units used.

2v2: Memorial Basin - Same reason as above. I like when infantry are more viable.

3v3: Fort Deen - Teams starting bases are all together on a elevated position, making for epic defense battles. I also like Forerunner walls, and the telporters that go with them.

Tundra and chasm, not to many (reactor) hooks that you have to rely on or keep away from the enemy.

I like Chasm too, because as you said, it is easy to hold the one supply elevator behind your base.

Tundra is interesting. Never seen someone make very good use out of the sniper towers in mid, though I am sure it can be done. I also like the Mega Cannon; I just wish it were on other maps too.

any map that the prophet can stand a chance on.

Putting a spartan with the turret gun upgrade in them make decent defense for small groups of enemies and they can survive quite a bit for you to get your troops to that location.
Also good scout/sentry options.

1v1: Chasms - This has been my favorite 1v1 map since the halo wars demo. It’s simple, is fairly balanced in every UNSC vs Covie or UNSC vs UNSC matchup, and is just fun to play on in general.

2v2: Memorial Basin - This is my favorite map in the game. Supply elevators make the game interesting, and it’s the only 2v2/3v3 map with them on it.

3v3: Frozen Valley - Gauss FTW!

1v1 - Chasms - Small, basic, and leaves many possibilities because of it’s size.

2v2 - Beasley’s Plateau - There is always action going on somewhere on the map.

3v3 - Exile - Very interesting map.

Beasley’s Plateau is probably my second favorite 2v2 map. I like the extra pads for each starting base. The extra turret slot and cover next to them makes for interesting fights.

anything but Exile, it’s terrible

you can’t defend a THING on that map without aircraft

1v1 - Release, because, come on!, nothing beats crushing a n00b with (3) 14 star Spartan Grizzlies, and achieving the max score.

Frozen Valley, Blood Gulch.

Blood Gulch, Beasleys Plateau, Exile.

Repository. It’s simple, Symmetrical, and the only advantage the map can give to the player is in the middle.

Hate exile,

Fort deen is good, frozen valley is okay. Too bad they only brought out so few maps.

exile allows for a free base if people like to instant expand. reactors to offer for different build orders, turret rushing available in the center makes people weary of that free base, just lots of options for different play styles.

fort deen is also really good i just like exile more haha. frozen valley is my favorite map to play as the chieftain

I only play 3v3 but exile its so easy and i always get lots of xp.

PoR is beast on exile. rush the expansions and build jackals and sneak them up to the enemy reactor hooks while the prophet distracts them.

red guy sold his expansion when he saw my prophet so I just camped their reactors with beam jackals.

1v1 chasm because of how small it is and you really need to fight for the hooks

2v2 beaslys again because of the hooks and different builds you can do on that map

3v3 frozen vally because anders is OP on that map

It’s between Frozen Valley and Fort Deen.
