Halo 4 would be mine. the music being so serene and sad, the beautiful blue and the sight of Requiem in the background reminded me of Mass Effect 2’s menu. Plus the sight of the Spartans in the background for War Games and the sick music that played along with it, I loved it the most.
Of course, the original trilogy had some absolutely iconic and wonderful menus as well. I loved them all
I mean the halo wars 2 menu does look fire. I mean I did look up halo menus so only see images. Also the mcc reach menu the golden one. The season 1 menu but gold idk why. For me it just looked cool or was it the season 3 one idk. Just the halo mcc menus.
I have enjoyed all the menus, but there are two and I can’t decide the two. One is Halo CE and Halo 3. I have high hopes for Halo Infinite. I loved the menu we got during the flights.
It’s got to be Halo 4’s and Halo 5: Guardians’ menu for me purely because I like the animation of the debris field in Halo 4 with the haunting music, and because I like watching the Pelican’s flying about in Halo 5: Guardians (with the occassional Grunt).
I would also like to mention that I loved the Collections original menu with tbe moving asteroid belt, however irrelevant it actually was to Halo (did we even know what planet that was?).
Halo 3, hands down. It has a great background (which is also a 3d experience) as well as great music to make it feel magical.
halo 3 and reach are both great to me but halo 3 will always be the top one
I’ve always been a sucker for Halo 3’s, the somber music while the camera goes over various locations is just perfect.
Nothing can compete with CE’s main menu.
Its hard to pick between CE, 3’s and Reach. But I think I liked 3’s more.
I remember watching those asteroids for so long, I could point to where the animation started with an asteroid fading away and others reappearing on the righthand side of the screen haha
Really, any from the original trilogy. I love how dynamic they were! The way the camera panned over the Halo ring (the setting for the entire game), the city of New Mombasa or various scenes on Earth with O’Donnell’s mesmerising, almost haunting music… We just don’t get that level of immersion from a video game menu anymore. The menus we get today are so static, bland and lackluster. Reach and menus onwards are disappointing, but at least they’re still better than menu screens of other franchises. Hopefully, we soon get something that harkens back to that true immersion of Halo’s golden days. If Infinite’s title screen is the camera sweeping over and around Zeta Halo, I’d be in love all over again!
Hmmm…probably Halo 3, with Halo 2 being a close-second.
I really like the winter warthog MCC start screen, I still use it as a background sometimes
