I just would like to see everyones favorite loadout and non-loadout weapons, and give a reason you like them.
For me, I like the Assault Rifle the most, because well… It just feels right using it.
And for a non-loadout I would have to say the railgun is amazing because it looks and sounds intense…
… oh and it’s a one-shot kill at any range with no scope… that’s always nice.
Fav loadout Magnum
It feels so balanced. It also has a faster kill time than the other loadout weapons.
Fav Power weapon Railgun.
Magnetism is a little high, but its a rail gun!
Sure the railgun is a little sticky, but all of the guns are a little sticky… except the forrunner ones.
Also, does anybody miss the Spiker, SMG, and Plasma Rifle?
My favorite loadout weapons is probably the BR because it gets some -Yoink!- skins via DLC 
But my favorite weapon overall is probably a tie between the Railgun, Sticky Det and the Sniper (despite how easy it is to use).
I hate all of the Forerunner weapons. They are either so inconsistent and frustrating to use or ridiculously overpowered. They are just to easy to use and don’t help gameplay. The Light Rifle is the only forerunner weapon I actually like.
Like the Scattershot to the Incineration Cannon?
Extremely limited range to grossly destructive…
Promethean weapons are hard to use, but if used correctly they have the fastest kill time in any category. For example, the suppressor is a beast in shotgun range, and the Lightrifle is a beast at 3x zoom range.
He does have a point, if I’m siting there taking DMR/BR/Carbine fire, I just move and take cover or kill the person… but if I’m sitting there getting pinged by a Lightrifle?
It’s a bit of an ‘oh s–t’ moment.
Probably the DMR, feels much better compared to reaches version, which sucked…
Also, I on the fence on whether the magnum in this game was good… It was nerfed from Reach to be 6sk and has that annoying bloom… I liked it better in halo 1-3 where you had to make each shot count and was more or less your only long range alternative at the start of the game until you picked up a weapon…
The magnum in this game though, could revolve around just a secondary role, since with load outs you no longer need the magnum as a long range alternative, so it suits it’s close range niche much better, the way secondaries are support to be played…
While it is a good secondary, I can’t call it a good halo magnum
For load-outs I gotta say the BR.
Non load-out probably Sniper, or Railgun
For load-outs I’d probably go with the BR, for non-loadouts I would choose the Incineration Cannon as it’s awesome in every sense of the word.
My favourite loadout weapon is LightRifle, even though I don’t use it a lot.
My favourite weapon overall is the Binary Rifle, because it looks great, sounds great and im terrible with the normal Sniper Rifle.
Favorite loadout weapon would have to be the BR. My favorite power weapon is the Gravity Hammer.
Carbine- Been my favorite since Halo 2.
Railgun- I’ve played so much Rails in Action Sack that I’m a boss with it.
Loadout: DMR for Big Team, BR for small

Loadout - I’ve really been enjoying the Carbine lately.
Non-loadout - Machine Gun Turret
Power Weapon - Gravity Hammer
Loadout wise, I would say the lightrifle comes first, with the DMR coming in a close second. Both weapons are the weapons of choice and skill for me.
Power-wise, I would say energy sword. A civilized weapon of elegant design.
AR, noob friendly, but in the right hands that thing is one of the most versatile weapons in the game.
The Spartan laser, 6 years of use, and each and every kill is still orgasmic.
Gotta say, I wasn’t expecting this thread to get this many replies at all, thank you all.
I have to say though, I’m seeing too many BR favorites… In my opinion the weapon is overpowered and over-used.
When I get in a game and hear everybody using a BR, I almost want to leave because it’s just not interesting.
When I hear a suppressor or a carbine, I feel a little giddy because it’s a change from the norm.
I rarely ever hear a storm rifle, which is a little disappointing because if used right, it can be a deadly-powerful weapon.
bring back the needle rifle!
