Mine has to be the Mark V helmet. It was a really nice translation from CE, and looks cool from the back (love the AI port). It kept the two visor fins instead of combining them in Reach. I feel like it’s less busy than the Mark VI (still love it). It looks amazing compared to what 343 did to it in 4 and 5.

I really love Recon armor, and it is almost entirely because of the mystery (that was at least at one point) behind it. To me, the thing that made Halo 3 armor so awesome was the quest behind each piece. Obviously at this point Recon isn’t anything special, but for a long time it was–and even when it required the completion of the Vidmasters it was somewhat special. When I think of Recon, I think of the hours I spent trying to figure out how to attain it with my friends, and that is what’s so cool.
EOD is a close second.

I left the shoulders Mark VI, but there was a time that I used EVA shoulders instead.

It even looks like it’d fit better with Halo 5’s art style.
Mark IV helmet is oddly almost spot on what it should be.

In all seriousness though, my favorite is ODST CQB. I like it lots. The elite armors are a bit to sketchy for me IMO. The ones in H2A were better. And Elite Ultra from reach was the absolute best.

Perhaps… I like the normal H3 Elite armor. The other ones aren’t to my taste. I guess I also like the “brutish” look of the H2A ones as well.

Yeah Ascetic is weird. The default (minor) and Commando are cool though.

Spartan:
Mark V helmet, security shoulders, EOD chest
Elite:
Ascetic helmet (or the good ol’ combat),Commando right shoulder and Assault left shoulder Ascetic chest
