Favorite Firefight map and why?

Which is your favorite? Mine are…

  1. Instillation 04: I love having some AI partners with me online!

  2. Glacier: Very fun and easy/not easy area to fight and hold off enemies is.

  3. Outpost: I like having the high ground and having the enemies swam at my feet.

What are yours?

If we’re talking Arcadefight:

  1. Beachhead for the vehicles and the long clear sight lines
  2. Outpost for the defensible high ground on the towers and human building
  3. Waterfront for the clear sight lines and the defensible position on the roofs (though I do hate the Jackal snipers on the ridge)

Glacier would make top three if it weren’t for the fact that A-holes constantly spam green goo at the sniper nest in between spawnas and I don’t kill myself to get up there using jetpack.

In Limited:

  1. Outpost for above reasons
  2. Beachhead for above reasons, with the caveat that now, killing vehicles is much more difficult with you don’t have good partners and they lob plasma all over the map
  3. Waterfront for above reasons

Simply because its visually beautiful. Very well made.
I’m a boffin for the graphics.

Because Bungie didn’t build in that ability and 343 is working on Halo 4. Sounds like Halo 4 will have the ability to use any created map in any game type. So be happy for that!

Unearthed.

Kind of a jerk-move that you have to pay extra for a map that isn’t ugly as sin, or all one colour. The firefight/multiplayer maps on the disc are some of the worst I’ve seen in or played in a FPS.

I like Unearthed. Its big and with enough people feels like a REAL firefight.

Installation 04 is beautiful and with the friendly AI (that dies almost instantly) its pretty cool too

Only if you shoot them with a rocket! If you play Limited on it, the AI guys actually last for a few waves. They aren’t all that helpful for killing the Covenant, but I kinda expected that. They WILL take fire for you though and that is totally awesome.

Unearthed. Hardly ever gets played with a team in Firefight, but in Score Attack, I play it a lot. It’s a great map and different from all the others.

For both gameplay and aesthetics, my preferences are Beachhead and Installation 04.

Honorable mentions are Corvette and Unearthed.

If I’m playing with friends I think Installation 4 and Unearthed are the best. If I’m playing Score Attack I like Corvette the most.
