Hey guys i wanted to know who’s your favorite elite character in the lore other than Thel Vadamee, mine is the Banished shipmaster.
My favourite Elite besides the obvious being the Arbiter (Thel ‘Vadam) like you said, would have to be the Shipmaster of the legendary Shadow of Intent,
Rtas ‘Vadum aka “half-jaw”.
Yep! Rtas ‘Vadum, “Half-Jaw”.
“Shipmaster, they outnumber us three to one!”; “Then it is an even fight.”
Rtas/Half-Jaw. The expanded universe has given us a wonderful glimpse at his personality, and I appreciate how open-minded and even compassionate he can be by typical Sangheili standards.
Ussa 'Xellus: the OG heretic! He was against the Writ of Union from the very beginning and saw it for what it was. I really hope to see more on the Ussan Sangheili in future lore now that many have returned and joined the Swords of Sangheilios.
N’tho 'Sraom aka the #3.
Perhaps we should put this in the poll.

Rtas
Rtas, and after him Usze 'Taham. From my understanding of the lore, Rtas is an extremely gifted and deadly military figure…

He is a great swordsman (with an energy sword of course), and it is highlighted in one of the books, Shadow of Intent.
Fal 'Chavamee, he was one of the more amazing Arbiters who turned against the Covenant when he believed that the Sangheili were straying from their path to follow a faith not their own. And when another of his clan killed his beloved as he fought a large number of the Covenant’s forces including a Mega Hunter King, his motivations turned personal. He marched to his death with the intent on at least avenging his love.
A noble Sangheili who valued what he cherished, but made a decision that cost him more than just his life.
(that’s what I remember from watching Halo Legends anyway. I never read any of the books containing 'Chavamee)

Good choice! Very interesting story to watch. Not an art style I’m too familiar with, but it played very well into the theme of the story.
No worries btw, that’s the only mention of 'Chavamee so far aside from an appearance in an H2A terminal

Yeah, the art style was kinda strange, but it was an interesting story none the less!
The only other Elite that I know of from the games would be Half Jaw. I know of some from the books but when push comes to shove I’d half to stick with the one they call half jaw. In halo 2 when the arbiter was AWOL he led the Elites when the Brutes turned on them with the rest of the Covenant. It was a pretty cool cut-scene to see Half Jaw pull up in the Covenant version of the tank(escapes my mind at the moment) and the Arbiter thinks he is about to bite the big one. Then all of the sudden he swings the door open sort of like dude what’s up. Gotta say that spoke to me in a way.
To be honest besides half jaw, and the arbiter ( wich lol i dont like that much ) ingame there werent much elites what can be called “character” but more like elite no xxx with dialoge. The books have some here and there but nah. so my favorite elite is basicly any allied ai in halo 2 with a sword… so usefull against flood
R’tas and Avu Med Telcam. I find them both interesting characters, especially R’tas.
i think i speak for everyone when is say Artas Vadum/ Half Jaw/ shipmaster
Rtas 'Vadum total badass.
