Throughout the entire Halo series, designs change from game to game and sometimes these changes can be good or bad. This is especially true in regards to the Covenant and their varying designs. For the most part, I not only find myself drawn to the classic designs of the original trilogy and the Halo Wars games, but some of Reach and the 343 designs as well.
For example, I absolutely love the look of H2A and HW2 because they used the classic Grunts, Jackals, Hunters, and Elites. But I also really liked the Skirmishers and Corvettes from Reach and the new variations of Covenant weapons, vehicles, and ships used in H5G. I thought that Jul 'Mdama’s helmet was pretty cool too.
So tell me, what designs do you like or dislike throughout the Halo series? I’d like to know.
Covenant Species
Prophets - H2A
Elites - H2A/HW/HW2 (But I wish they a spiked gauntlet on both arms like this.)
Brutes - H2A/H3/HW2 (I love both the classic Brutes and the H3 Power Armor.)
Hunters - H2A/HW2
Drones/Buggers - H2A
Skirmishers - Reach (Minors and Majors only. I like their feathers.)
Jackals - H2A/H3
Grunts - H2A (HW2 is decent too)
Engineers - ODST
Covenant Vehicles
Ghost - H2A/Reach/HW2
Banshee - H2A/H3/HW2 (I’ve always imagined the H3 model with H2A colors.)
Wraith -H2A/Reach/HW2
Spirit - Reach/HW/HW2
Phantom - H2A Terminals/Reach/HW2
Scarab - Reach (Because of the dark colors and the Lekgolo worms.)
Covenant Ships
SDV-class heavy corvette - Reach (Considering that this is the only game it appeared in and it looked amazing.)
CCS-class battlecruiser - Reach
CAS-class assault carrier - H2A Terminals/Reach (Technically was a “supercarrier” in Reach, but it looked great.)
I really liked the interior of the Corvette, as well as the insides of both the Covenant battlecruiser from The Fall of Reach animated series and Jul 'Mdama’s assault carrier from the H4 terminals.
