Favorite armor set of all time?

which is your favorite armor set of all time (has to be the whole armor set)

(I know everyone wil say goblin as is the perfect armor)

Recon from H3.

Well I wanna say Helioskrill but when they threw it in the req system (understandably) it lost some of it’s luster. And I bet most will say Hayabusa from H3… So I will say it’s my current armor Technician. Haven’t seen any one ever using it. I wear it because I consider myself some what of a technician. I am good and working on stuff.

War master. No other one can match it.

Standard Mark V. Its bulk, sharp polygons, and pouches give off a level of threat like a Spartan armed to the teeth should.

Normally I’d say Locus, but they kind of ruined it in Halo 5 with white paint and also making the armor just re-skinned Aviator. It’s hard for me to pick a favorite, but I’m leaning towards Hellcat. It looks cool and unique and interesting, but I also like it because it’s human technology. But like, ancient human technology.

Ew no

Hyaybusa with the katana attachment. Man those armor unlocks tied to achievements/milestones.

I’m with you on this one! That was one badass armor set!

Halo 3 - Reach Mark VI

It’s my standard helmet for my Spartan and also it’s Chief’s mascot armour.

For now, I’m saying Halo 3 Recon, mainly because of the vidmaster challenges behind it.

Agreed, but they messed up the visor, just like they messed up the visor on Venator and C.I.O. in Halo 4.

Scout armor from reach it just looks perfect for a sniper

That’s true. But I don’t mind it so much, because it’s the only helmet in Halo 5 to have lights for a visor, which makes it seem that much more unique. It was annoying in Halo 4 because it’s like “oh another light-up visor” but I don’t think it’s so bad if it’s only on one helmet in the whole game. But that’s just my opinion.

That’s a fair take on it, but I wanted to match the red visor of the Ancient Humans in the Halo 4 terminal vidoes.
Edit: Also, I forgot to mention that with the meagre amount of simultaneous armour customisation options, losing choice of visor is rather significant.

That would be cool. I think we should at least be able to change the color of the lights based on which visor we have equipped

It’s all little bit off topic, but if I was behind the design team, I would have pushed for visors to have an emissive or “backlight” option with different brightness settings.

That’s a good point. But personally, it doesn’t matter much to me, because I’m not a big fan of mixing and matching armor pieces. I prefer to wear full sets when I can. But that’s just me, and I understand why people like to have more customization options.

I like that idea. If I was behind the design team, I would have chosen to bring back Vanguard instead of Infiltrator from Halo 4.

Vanguard was cool, I don’t remember ever seeing another player using it.

I think that’s because you had to master some tedious commendations to get it. I never got basic Vanguard, but I got the “converge” skin from mastering the flag victory commendation. It was a fun thing to wear. No idea why they decided Infiltrator was the better choice to bring into Halo 5…

In Halo 5, probably Nightfall, Mark V, or Mark IV.
