Favorite armor introduced in H5

While most of the new sets of armor introduced in Halo 5 are generally disliked by the fanbase, I’m curious as to what your favorite new armor from H5 is.

You also can’t choose any of the classic helmets. I also request that you not choose Olive or Timmy, since those are only helmets.

I’m personally a fan of Mako and it’s variants. I find them to be fun in a doesn’t-take-itself-too-seriously way AND they seem to be purposefully and functionally designed in a way that shows their purpose. Excellent addition to the armor lineup.

I’m gonna go with Hellcat, although Hellcat-like armorsuits were seen in the Halo 4 terminal videos, if I remember correctly. Which is mostly why I like it, human technology is best technology. And it looks cool and interesting despite its lack of a visor

I like Achilles because it’s an armor set that you truly need to grind for.

Achilles is my choice as well. I like how it is unlocked as well as the design. Besides Achilles, the Hellcat armor is probably my next favorite (not the helmet though).

I kinda like the Marauder helmet. I don’t like any new armor set as a whole. If I could mix and match chest, legs, forearms, et cetera, there would probably be something I like. But I can’t, so I stick with Jun and Emile armor.

Technician by a mile. I’ve loved it since the first image of it appeared in the Beta’s title screen.

Shinobi Heartless looks so cool I love using it

Achilles is by far the best new introduction – it’s pretty epic.

Technician is a solid design. Probably my second favorite package of the new designs.

Hunter is somewhat cool; though, I like the armor more than the helmet.

Centurion is kind of cool; though, I favor the helmet more than the armor.

The overall sleekness of Copperhead is kind of neat; though, I’m not a big fan of the armor set overall.

Icarus’s armor is a little interesting; though, I’m not a fan of the set’s helmet.

Legionnaire’s armor is also a little interesting and again I’m not a fan of the set’s helmet. I’m even less of a fan of this helmet than I am of the Icarus helmet.

The Mako Chthonic helmet is definitely cool in a humorous way; though, I don’t care for the other Mako helmets or any of the Mako armor.

I’ve always thought that the Jumpmaster helmet would be an intriguing selection given someone was able to rock an assassination that involved a wicked head-butt. Unfortunately, no head-butt involved assassination exists as far as I’m aware.

There are several aspects of the Hellcat armor that I like, but one major part that I really dislike quite a bit so it has me in general not liking it; plus, the helmet is terrible looking.

I can see why some might really like Helioskrill as I think it does a fairly decent job representing Sangheili armor on a Spartan, but personally it’s definitely not something I’d ever choose to rock because I think it’s kind of ugly.

In all honestly, I really don’t care too much for the majority of the new stuff. I’m pretty much rocking what I like already (EOD helmet + Stalker armor); though, my Halo 4’s version with shoulder, forearm, and leg variations was even better looking in my opinion.

…I think you need to re-read the original question. OP is asking about the armor designs new to Halo 5. Not returning designs.

Anyway. Personal favorite is second-gen Centurion. Anubis is also pretty neat. Except for the fusion pack (or whatever the things on the back are). Not a fan of the way they look.

Achilles is a sick looking armor, and shows just how much time and effort you put into finishing commendations.
Argus looks great and it really fits the sniper occupation.
Centurion is bulky and menacing, not to mention that the torso is the closest thing we’ve had to Chief’s 4 and 5 Armor.
Cypher is slim but has a great design.
Helioskrill is a great nod to Sanghellios and the campaign grind reflects your skill(at least until it was obtainable in req packs…)
Hunter is a cool design, Locke isn’t that bad of a character IMO.
Jumpmaster is probably the best looking common IMO, the ripcord skin for the torso looks awesome.
Shinobi lives up to its name.
Teishin is the perfect ninja helmet, was a huge fan ever since I laid eyes on it(5th Favorite Helmet)
Technician is a fabulous armor, I ignored it for a year, but I finally appreciated it when I unlocked it.(4th Favorite Helmet)

I’ve got a few on my mind:

  • Achilles may be notorious in the eyes of most, but it’s pretty badass. - Helioskrill. Elite-themed armor. Need I say more? - The Fenrir helmet looks really mean with that swept-back “V” visor. Shame I can’t say the same for the armor.

I like the campaign variants of the Helljumper and Hunter, though Centurion looks great in MP as well.

EVA leonov armour and helmet set. I’ve only used this for any decent amount of time. I’d like to be a bit more creative as I’m not sure what else I’ve unlocked, seems a shame to not at least try a different look.
