So, what’s the communities favorite AA? Mine is definitely the one, the only, drop shield. It’s just all around the best all around AA. Defense and you can act like a medic! 2nd place is sprint, but that’s a given. Now everyone, speak your favorite!
Sprint and drop shield (off the top of my head) should be the only armor abilities available.
They are game-breaking, annoying, and simply make a battle between two players extremely uneven. Basically it takes away skill needed if the noob has been using it for some time. And I HATE spawning with armor lock when new loadouts appear and I forget to change it.
But on topic,
Sprint is my favorite.
Armor lock, sprint.
Definitely Evade, too bad they took it out of Team Objective. The only one I use now is Sprint and sometimes Jet Pack.
Evade beats all.
I’m not a big fan of armour abilities but I have to say I find sprint and jetpack quite useful on certain maps, like sprint on Hemorrhage and jetpack on Boneyard maybe.
Hey guys! Those are some pretty good choices. It’s too bad some of you don’t like armor abilities too much, I think Halo: Reach wouldn’t have been too fun without 'em! Regardless, I see some armor lock and jet pack lovers out there, and an Internet high five to you guys! I never get the hate those things receive. They aren’t game-breaking, because you’re either unbelievably exposed, or stuck in place for five seconds.
Evade all the way.
Sometimes invisibility (with a shotgun) for defense, and a jetpack on Boneyard. But every other situation calls for Sprint in my opinion.

I do partly agree with that, but there are some problems.
The thing with armor lockup is that it was meant to be a counter against vehicles. A really strong counter though (destroys or either EMPs the vehicle), but that’s another discussion. The problem is that armor lockup is also available on small maps and that’s where it really becomes overpowered. Especially on a map like Countdown where you’re always in someone’s face and if that specific person has armor lockup, he will just block your attack and then proceed to EMP and melee you in a fraction of a second and there is nothing you can do about it. It’s a cheap way to survive things and even get easy kills.
Solution? Just don’t make it available for small maps anymore.
I don’t really have a problem with Jet Pack though, well, the only cheap thing is that you can hide in soft killzones for a while where nobody can get to you. I see it mainly happen in The Arena, it’s basically Team Jet Packs.
Armor Lock and Evade
AL was great to avoid friendly fire. But i found Sprint was great to help back the team up with

I use AL to avoid being hit by alot of grenades seriously alot of people in Halo love to chuck grenades like crazy. It’s annoying as hell.
Hologram.
Because when you know how to work it, especially against higher skilled players, it’s so satisfying.
Jetpack is game breaking. They have had to alter maps like hemmorage because players used Jet packs to break map boundaries and to gain a height advantage to shoot someone over the top of a rock who has gone into cover. You also forget that the jet packs rate of climb is faster than a player can look up on default settings and the obvious headshot advantage a jet packer has over a player on the ground. ( its hard to get headshot when shooting at someones feet.)

So much of a map breaker. Feel forced to use it.
Camo. Even though it got nerfed, I can still make it work. I prefer to stalk my prey and attack from unexpected areas. Gets a lot of Aerial Assassinations on people who’re checking their corners, but not above them.
Evade and drop shield…I love those, and you can rarely find drop shield anywhere. And evade just doesn’t exist anymore.
So that’s why I play invasion
It’s got both.
Although I really like using active camo now, considering it actually works compared to halo 4.
So easy to see it in H4
Sprint easily, then Invisibility I hate jetpackers and troll them with the needler gun
The needler is a troll weapon in every case…
On the rare occasions in which I accidentally select armor lock it sometimes is useful.
In a game of BTB on hemmorhage, I got the game-winning kill because a ghost noob tried to splatter me but because I had accidentally selected armor lock so… I even got the achievment “poppin and lockin.”
Was a nice surprise
