I believe it was a few weeks ago, I can’t even be bothered to remember precisely. 343 issued a blog post to tell a Halo story with a poll to choose where the story should go next. It hasn’t been their brightest idea, not surprising in the slightest, nobody expects good ideas from 343i anymore, so everything is normal so far. If they don’t put the effort into telling stories in an entertaining way, I won’t put the effort in reading it, so I didn’t even know what the story is about, and I’m not interested.

I’m just wondering out of curiosity though, we all can see the poll up above every page in this forum, so is it just a bug on my screen, or does it actually says “0 voters”? Because if actually nobody voted, it would be such an L for 343i it would be hysterical XD.

If anybody actually read the story and already voted, please answer this question for me: how many people actually voted?. If instead you didn’t vote yet, then please don’t do it, don’t vote just to see if the poll counter goes up, please let’s keep it at zero, this fail would be so funny if it was true.

If you’re genuinely interested in the story and truly want to vote for it then please do vote. I’m not trying to endorse abstention on the poll. Don’t vote only if you are truly not interested. and let me know if it says “0 voters” for you too.

No joke, I thought it was an ad, that 343 was getting desperate and had to rent out advertisements in their official forum for revenue.

There was zero context it had anything to do with Halo.

Is it bad I thought it was the same thing? Not to mention the actual UI for it didn’t work. It seems they can’t even get CSS or HTML of all things to work properly.

I never voted because I thought it was an advertisement. I signed on one day and was like: “Why the fudge is this banner popping up?” It had a broken link in it and it said nothing about Halo at all, instead it said some random guy’s name or something. So I was completely clueless that this was even a thing. Then Rambo had informed me later on that it was a Fractures story, then it all started to make much more sense to me but by then I had missed the voting. Oh well. What did we even miss? Is the story worth reading?

And it was just Part 1
The remaining weeks of Entrenched will feature Parts 2 - 5 to vote on.
