I first had a problem at launch with this game until I did the launch with windowed. For whatever reason the controls are inverted and whenever I go to save setting to change it back it throws the fatal error every time. Anyone have any solutions?
If you are using the MS Store/Game pass version
- Go to your start menu
- Search for HALO MCC
- Right click it
- More < App Settings
- Click Repair.
This helps a lot with other problems as well but I don’t know about steam.

right click on halo mcc in steam(left side)…In general goto “set launch option” in the empty field type -windowed press enter and you can play the game… In the game you can try to set it to borderless it worked for me
