What is the best build order for the fastest way to Tech 2?
I use Izy for this example
I have been doing: Gen, Supply, Supply, Supply, Gen, Marine.
I upgrade in this order as soon as power is available: Gen, Supply, Gen, Tech 2.
I use marines to collect supply/power until I have three, then I go for the nodes. This puts me at about 3 min to 3:15 min to buy T2.
Is there a way to do this faster?
I have been toying with switching Gen as my fourth building instead of fifth, but i feel like waiting for supplies by a couple of seconds is a waste.
Gen first; upgrade it, then all supply pads. Make sure to grab as much of the power on the map as you can.
Since you’ll have so many supply pads, you don’t need to upgrade any supply pads. Doing this build will result in a lower T3, but you’ll be able to triple pump hogs at T2, so it’s a trade off.
Two ways for quick tech.
Gen first send ur starting guys straight to power on the map upgrade the gen build a marine and rest pads take a node.
2nd you can go Gen supply gen only upgrade first generator. Have starting units collect supplies right by ur base to get 2nd gen up 3rd
Gen first, then all supply pads is definitely the fastest way to Tech 2, should take about 2:30ish.
