faster shots, faster kill times, faster everything.
Do you want this?
faster shots, faster kill times, faster everything.
Do you want this?
slightly faster weapon switching? Sure.
faster reloading in relation to past Halos? No.
I say leave it as it is, too fast and it’s ridiculous too slow and it’s too slow. It also balances power weapons like the rocket launcher which takes for ever and the shot gun if this were to become faster it would unbalanced the game.
We definitely need faster weapon switches. Too often do I die because my weapon runs out of ammo and I have to switch for my other weapon. And while this definitely isn’t going to happen, I would be happy to see reload glitches back too. As soon as the magazine touches the weapon, press Y twice or B. It’s a reall shame that most game developers and players have this weird assumption that glitches are always a bad thing and definitely can’t be implemented as to the game as real features.

There could be different weapon switching times. Like really fast for AR to pistol, and slow from whatever gun to rocket launcher. It seems to be the same in Halo 3 and Reach.
I would of loved to not make it so you’d have to agree with everything, but I can’t really do that. I’d have to make several topics. Most people have opinions on what should be faster and what shouldn’t be. It encourages to people to post though if the poll doesn’t exactly fill their needs.
Faster kill times, no to everything else.
From a campaign player’s perspective
Faster reload time: Yes.
But I’d rather have the ability to cancel the reload timer like in CE. And backpack reloading. That way, if I want to play realistically, I let the reload carry out and don’t interrupt it. If I want to play like a boss, I can cancel it. Reloading in H3 and Reach was such a drag. This battle doesn’t give me much time to reload because a certain Pelican with op weaponry and a fail AI arrives and devastates the battlefield. A slow reload time is suitable for a slow and tactical shooter, not Halo. At least leave in cancelling for reload.
Faster movement speed: Yes obviously.
When doing this, H3 Chief’s movement speed becomes much more noticeable. I have to race to an invisible trigger point right as an infection form begins the infection process. Countless times I had to revert because I didn’t make it there. I had to use brute shots most of the time to give me a speed boost.
Faster weapon switching: Yes.
I liked how the plasma pistol was so fast to switch to in CE and now it’s so dumbed down and slow in everything other than plasma pistol bolts.
Faster grenade throwing: Yes.
There’s less chance of AI sticking each other if they take less time with it and they feel more like player equal enemies.
Faster cqc: Yes.
The additions of lunge and reverse melee (AI that do roundhouse kicks…) have killed melee combat. I’d prefer if only melee weapon enemies had it. Hunters could use more turning and sidesweeping action. I liked how in CE you had good range (I could melee infection forms which added to the immersion while in H2 and H3, I had to use up my ammo on them or let my allies or shields handle them).
I also like how Reach gave Elites a fast melee (and also hated it due to the immense damage and their behavior).
Faster projectile speed: No.
Leading or predicting shots is much better than instant shots that you can’t avoid. At least in campaign.
I hate how Reach Legendary makes nearly everything undodgeable. This would have been tolerable if it weren’t for the immense damage.
Faster AI: No.
I like fast Elites and all, but with a poor and underpowered arsenal, the limited and near useless grenades (compared to CE where grenades were plentiful and useful even if you didn’t get a stick), and the horrible allied support, fighting Reach Elites is just too limited and cramped. I hated Noble Six, not because he’s not Master Chief, but because he’s horridly underpowered. Plasma rifle bolts were decent on Heroic and require a lot more battery on Legendary. Likewise, plasma pistol bolts. Then there’s concussion rifle shots…
Also, note how fast Covies dive in H3. Way too fast and responsive. In Reach, they’re less responsive and too fast. In H3, they’re too responsive and slightly fast. I’d like moderate responsiveness and moderate fast like in CE.
Faster AI is one of the main reasons why I hate H3 and Reach.
As for skirmishers and drones, they’re all right.
