Does anyone know any ways to earn credits fast, besides Grifball?
If you have Halo Anniversary for the 360 and have found or can find all the terminals in game, you can enter some codes into the Halo Waypoint app for Reach XP. Have a look near the bottom of this page for the “Alpha Halo” archive. Only those ones work with Reach, the rest are for Halo 4 
You could do the Firefight mode and edit it so you can never die. That is something you can do and it was Hilarious watching the enemies try to kill me even though I couldn’t die.
You could do the ONI Sword Base exploit, though I don’t know if it still fully works.

Good afternoon.
There are a good handful of legitimate ways to earn a good amount of cR. Such examples include:
-Completing Daily Challenges excluding ‘Linked to b.net’ (Light Fare/Blastin and Relaxin you can do in any game mode when available)
-Completing Weekly Challenges (Provided they give 10,000 + cR as some now only give 7,777 cR)
-Firefight Matchmaking in Arcadefight (Especially if you’re playing with known friends)
-Anniversary Firefight Matchmaking in Arcadefight (Especially if you’re playing with known friends)
-Randomly hitting the slot machine jackpot bonuses at the end of a matchmaking game (can range from 3,000 cR to 30,000 cR)
-Playing the ‘Living Dead’ (Flood) playlist as a human (Hoping that the game doesn’t make you a zombie four entire games in a row)
Stay away from exploits, glitches, and network manipulation as that could end up earning you a cR ban or even a derank if you were to go down that route. I hope that helps and have a nice day now.

Co-Op Firefight and BTB usually give me 2,800 - 3,500 cR per game.
Sorry, but Grifball is the only thing that gives you the most credits per game depending on how long the game lasted.
Just a reminder that posting on Waypoint is to be done in English.
I will put them in order of credit payout/ time spent in the game.
First is Grifball but you must win and score 3 bombs in sudden death to maximise the performance bonus payout.
Second is Team Objective. Once again you must win and score your flags and bombs in sudden death to maximise the performance bonus payout.
Third is Firefight. Get lots of kills, sprees and multi kills to gain higher commendation payouts. Focus on look at your commendations for heavy weapons and headshots and try and use weapons that give you credits for those commendations as well. Throw lots of grenades too as it all adds up.
4th is BTB. just get lots of kills and use weapons and vehicles that give you commendations.
Anything else is pretty average and will take a long time.
I regards to the first 2 options this came a result when Bungie tried to alter the performance bonus payout for player who finished Grifball and team objective games very quickly. Of course they stuffed it up and the reverse happened. You get massive performance payouts the longer you spend in the game and win.
Also as Lizard King said above check challenges and play game types that will see you get those extra credits as you just play normally.
Do challenges, most are fairly easy, the weekly challenges give 10,000-40,000 Cr so its pretty good. invasion is also a good option

It is patched because you stop earning from commendation when it is in silver. You will only earn credits when you complete the commendation.

Do not follow the instructions this individual is giving out. He is suggesting using network manipulation to reset challenges, which is against LIVE Code of Conduct and can earn you a temporary ban, perma-ban, and/or a derank in Reach.
