If anyone was up this morning you probably noticed a particular thread talking about some farmer getting harassed by somebody sending them hateful messages since they are “proven” farmers.
This just shows how incompetent 343 is with dealing with exploits, and people are starting to take matters into their own hands. I’m sure this happens everyday but this particular instance became public.
343, this is starting to get bad. i know you probably won’t see this, but you need to step in and do something.
EDIT: Keep in mind the topic I’m trying to get across isn’t farming itself, but rather than hate, and the rage, and the mob justice it breeds.

Farmer detected. Deflect criticism harder
I agree OP, farmers are ruining Warzone. They should only be matched against other farmers.
Who cares about some nameless internet tough guy?? Delete the messages or have fun playing or report the message, and move on with your day.

XD LOL epic funny joke!!!1
I don’t understand what everyone has against farming; it’s the crux of sedentary populations. What are you, hunter-gatherers?
I’m not gonna lie, the thread did give me a good chuckle. There’s no easy solution to the issue, though. It’s difficult to predict how your target audience will abuse the software; one recent example being The Division. Rather than exploits being discovered naturally over the course of the games life the player-base were actively seeking them out and abusing them. It isn’t the same as farming in Warzone, true, but it’s a fair equivalent to some of the issues that’ve cropped up since release (the two Armory glitches, for example).
At this point instituting a mercy rule or core-degradation over x period of time is probably the best response.

Very constructive.
Can you define farming? Like kill farming? RP farming? What do you mean? Also, I don’t see how kill farming, if that is what you’re referring to, is considered an exploit that violates any EULA agreement or stated rule set by 343i. Is it a complete a**hat tactic? Sure it is, but technically not something to cause 343i to swing any banhammers.
From my point of view… Farmers cant suffer enough for what they do.

People tend to link farming to griefing, and I’m relatively certain that’s a violation of the EULA.
How do you even tell when someone is farming?

When you see the tractor come out.

I guess a better way to put it is exploiting a broken system.
A good rule of thumb is if the enemy team has capped all 3 bases but are staying away from your core should be considered farming.
I guess 343 did kinda start the wildfire with the whole Achilles fiasco.
Farming happens with or without achilles.
Just because your core isnt getting destroyed does not mean youre getting farmed. Alot of the time people just refuse to lose despite it being inevitable. Other times its just lack of pushing power. My teamates will be struggling to take down the soldier guard while me and like one other teamate tries to push the core. Sure, im able to kill yall but as soon as I start focusing the core i get wrecked by marines or people spawning in. Then I get a message asking if i got a good yield. Like wtf? If you dont want to keep dying let me core you ffs.
Still never been farmed. Had plenty of core stalemates but never obviously farming.
Kill farming is trapping the enemy team in their base and basically just spawn trapping them. I’ve noticed over the past week or so it has gotten alot worse. Please just fix it 343.
I feel like this farming “problem” would be difficult to fix if one team is far more organized and coordinated than the other. If that’s the case, I would think it’d be fairly simple to keep the other team in one spot.
I think most people don’t actually know what farming is. I’ve said this so often but I have yet to actually be farmed yet. Farming isn’t just being brought back to your core by a better team where you can’t cap a single base because you still have the freedom to move around. Farming is being killed on spawn with the enemy team in your core room without actually destroying the core. Seriously this isn’t a huge problem and people blow it out of proportion.
