Anyone know what are good farms for custom challenges? My friend made a challenge that is to get 500 headshots and gives 6,141. And getting 500 headshots isn’t too hard if you do gruntpocolpyse.
Also if this is somehow against the rules please let me know. I don’t see how it would be. Farming has been around since the beginning. The original farms were the orbital gun on the campaign level and gruntpocolypse and I don’t remember anyone ever being credit banned for those. The only thing I remember people being credit banned for was network manipulating. Then again that was before 343 took over I think.
Did you read the forum rules? If not, take a look around before asking for methods that may be frowned upon by certain circles. Not bannable or illegal, just frowned on. Make some buddies, play some games and then ask questions of such things.

I only have 2 friends that still actively play Halo, and one of them just lost their internet. And if it was against the rules I wouldn’t do it. And if it’s just “frowned upon” then I don’t see the harm in asking about it.

It’s not against the rules to discuss this.
Also, farming custom challenges shouldn’t be frowned on. They scale in difficulty and reward so you’re not exploiting anything. If you make a custom challenge for 1 headshot you’ll hardly get anything but if you set one for 500 headshots you’ll get rewarded more.

Really?.. I usually get 10,000 cR for doing 500 head shots in a three hour time window in Match Making Firefight. Just choose the Skirmigeddon game variants, & you’ll soon rack up the numbers
I usually do 1000 kills for 10,000 cR, or 1000 medals for 10,000 cR as well. Both with their times set to three hours
Look, the more you do of them, the more credits you get. It’s pretty simple. You can overlap a bit, by setting Headshot, medals, and kills Challenges at once.
You’ll get more for higher difficulty settings, lower times to complete challenges and where possible more skulls on.
For today’s challenges (and most days) I mirror the actual challenges for the day or make them even more. For instance I made 5 today:
200 kills in Matchmaking/12 hours. 5,445 cR
500 Kills in Fireifght/12 hours 4,084 cR
300 medals Firefight/12 hours 2,450 cR
100 medlas Matchmaking/12 hours 2,723 cR
7 MM wins/12 hours 1,906 cR
That’s more than 16K cR.
Add the daily challenges that my challenges would mostly cover anyway and the total goes up to more than 24K cR.
Normally I make challenges to last on 3 hours and those credits totals a much higher.
Try 1,000 kills in Firefight in 3 hours. IIRC, that one is worth 10K cR.
I’m very happy that 343 implemented the custom challenges. I’ve been able to get more friends actively playing Reach again, or at least more often. I think that was one thing that was an intention of 343 for doing this. The other being that to accept challenges gamers have to log into Waypoint, be that here or on LIVE. The point being Waypoint gets more traffic and keeps interest going in Halo.
The only thing I wish would happen for challenges is to give us more specific options.
eyah… i did 500 medals in 3 hours, and 300 kills in 3 hours for 13.12k a piece. that day i eneded getting over 60k credits just from challenges, with daily (10k+), weekly was 30k, and then the 2 custom.
You’ve got to try mixing together different challenge types so you can complete multiple challenges at the same time.
For example, if you are doing 1000 kills in firefight, maybe say 750-1000 medals in firefight at the same time as a separate challenge will yield about the same cR more or less.
180 Kills of enemy Skirmisher Specialist = 5000 cR
These 5 Custom Challenges equal a huge pay out of 25K every 6 min using the Target Locator
I originally found this from UselessOrphan58, enjoy. Also make sure you have a good checkpoint when doing these or it will take longer than 6:00. If you get a time above 7:00 total I suggest finding a different check point. If you want the original thread this was posted in just PM me back asking so. Happy farming!

For FireFight:
800kills in 3 hours= 10,000cR
800medals in 3 hours=10,000cR
I THINK 400 headshots in 3 hours = 10,000cR
