Is there some kind of an FAQ on the Custom Challenges feature on Waypoint - a thread someplace I am missing?
It would be really useful, have just set up my first lot, for when I get home! Will they show in game for example?

I know they do not show in the game itself. Someone said you can view them in Waypoint on your console, though - not sure.
Just wish someone from 343i would write one - if there is not one written - so we can know the best ways to make them for maximum profit, things we can and cannot do, and things we should do or should not do.

While this will be far from a faq I might be able to lend a little insight. It appears that MM pays the most out of the game types you can select, medals and head shots have been giving me the most from the type of goals, and a low ammount of time to achieve seems to bump up the Cr earned. Make sure to return to waypoint to turn in challenges before the time lapses. I have not seen an amount that you cant do, besides the five challenges at a time it appears once finished you may just start another till you hit the credit cap(damn credit cap =/). Other than that Im still trying to figure them out to.An example for me is a MM challenge for a total of 50 medals in three hours pays a little over 4000. Let me know how your challenges go.
The Target Locator exploit on the campaign level Oni is the best payout that I have found so far.
Create a campaign challenge for 1000 medals on Oni. The credit payout should be 5000 credits. Time to complete for me was six minutes.

I created one like that this morning - 1000 medals on ONI doing LASO (minus Blind) and the payout came up to 5000 as well. Seems Campaign must be locked to 5k Max.
But the information on the time to complete is helpful. Sounds like waiting until I get online at home is best then for FF and MM rather than setting them up for ending 8 hours from now just set up at home with a very short timeframe.
One guy said it above, but I’d like to repeat the question so its clearly stated and (hopefully) clearly answered. Do the custom challenges count towards the daily credit cap? I tried out a get 1000 headshots on FF and it pays out 10000cR. Is that going to interfere with earning more credits, or are those custom challenge credits outside the daily cap? How about if I bump the daily cap in-game, but then earn my custom challenge afterward? Do I still get my cR?
FAQs are always good!
why not u do this … put 500 medals for 5 hours in matchmaking not firefight and play grifball it easy way and u get like 27,327 credit and u get a lot of medals from doing grif ball im like half way through it in under 2 hours

Well that is easy if you have 5 hours to play Hostball or get put on a team where people will help you spawn kill by not planting the bomb the second they grab it.

well i did this all by my self and i do got the time :3 but it best if u do it during the time u out of school college etc. but people find out that if u lower the time and put a lot of kill it goes more but it like impossible to get the max kill in under 3 hours.

That’s nice … except some of us are not in school or college - we work (or look like it). So when we get home, get dinner, get kids in bed and manage to sit down to play, we might have an hour or two for playing. It’s why I think tonight I’ll try the Campaign ones on ONI and make two or three challenges that can overlap to get about 10k in just 15 minutes or less with the Target Locator, then rinse and repeat. As much as I’d love to bash people in Grifball … just don’t have 3 hours or more to devote to one game type when I’m still wanting to move along commendations and there’s only so many commendations you can get in Grifball
I just completed one of my challenges do i click the turn in button or do i wait till the challenge time is up?
