Hello everyone. I enjoy writing what I consider to be quality fan-fiction that follows and fits well into Pre-established lore. with that being said I was wondering if anyone had some Halo ideas for me? Something that I could make a 1-10 thousand word story.
Please, nothing -Yoink!-.
This would be better in the ‘Community Creations’ subforum instead of the forum for talking about the story.

I considered doing that myself. I kind of figured this sub-forum had more traffic and that people may be more enthusiastic to provide requests whether it’s something that could fill a plot hole or something brand new.
Story ideas? How about a ship forced down to a planet by an unseen force where it crashes, crippling it. It was brought down by a Forerunner tech, because this planet is a malfunctioning shield world without a functional Monitor, It pulls ships down to the door (like in Halo Wars), but the door doesn’t work, so the shield world is just smashing ships into its surface. It’s also blocking all distress signals sent out automatically because it was designed to hide its location (sort of like Guilty Spark did in the flashback with the unknown crashed ship). The crew must survive on this hostile world, populated by a variety of beasts and the crews of other crashed ships (including Covenant, Independents, Banished, Etc.)
I think it would make a really good open world RPG set in the Halo universe, because it has huge potential for character development, skill and equipment progression, social interaction, and combat. And a big bonus is that it’s entirely contained, so it’s relatively easy to not contradict canonical lore as long as you don’t put Spartans, or any top-level officers from the various factions in it.
Let’s expand upon the Battle of Earth. There were several notable skirmishes in New Mombasa and Voi, Cleveland, and Havana. We got a taste of the aftermath in Sydney, where Bravo Six calls home, but we didn’t get much in terms of what happened there during the battle. That seems like a good place to expand the lore quite a bit.
2543, A man living in a distant colony comes across a covenant cruiser that crashed nearby. The only survivor is a wounded grunt he can not understand, however he decides to take care of him.
