FanExpo Canada 2012: August 23rd-26th

Halo 4 will apparently be playable on the show floor there, and aside from that, i’m simply curious as to who else is going? I’ll make a list here of people who are attending. I’m personally going to be in Toronto from the Wednesday prior to the Monday following.

How much does it cost?
35$ - Day Pass
95$ - Deluxe Pass (all 4 days)

When is it?
August 23th through 26th 2012.

How do I get there?
If you live in Canada, I would recommend trying Via Rail for some reasonably affordable travel, and if you’re flying from the east coast, Porter Airlines is typically the cheapest available. West Coasters may want to look in to WestJet and Air Canada (use discount code QN6V87Z1 if you’re flying through Air Canada). If you’re travelling from the states, first of all, welcome to Canada! We’re excited to have you! Second, if you’re flying, try American Airlines using the discount code 6882AZ.

Where can I stay?
Sadly, I don’t live in Toronto, so none of you can crash at my place, but there are 2 hotels with vacant spaces left that you can book for FanExpo. Try the Hilton and the King Edward!

Where is it?
The Metro Toronto Convention Center, 222 Bremner Blvd, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. South Building. Just East of Skydome and the CN Tower. St.Andrews is the closest Subway stop, and Parking is available at and around the facility. Very close to Union Station (for those taking the train or transit), also close to the Royal York Hotel, which is where the (free) Porter Airlines shuttle will drop you off.

What are the hours of Expo?
Thursday: 4PM – 9PM (2pm for Deluxe Passholders)
Friday: 10AM – 7PM
Saturday: 10AM – 7PM
Sunday: 10AM – 5PM

On the 23-26 of August, at the Metro Toronto convention center, fan expo will be taking place! Halo 4 will be playable as well! I don’t know the schedule or exact place, probably at the Microsoft booth, so if anyone has any information please do tell! Who’s coming?

I will be trying to go but it’ll be only one day likely, living in Montreal, it’ll take time to travel there. So who else is going? Maybe we can organize!

I doubt they’d do a campaign demo. I mean, it’s possible, but it’s probably just a War Games Build. It’ll be awesome if it’s the updated one past E3’s Build.

I’ll probably go. I gotta try out Halo 4 and Toronto isn’t far from where I live.

One day, I’ll save the money needed to fly around the world and attend one of these. One day!

Ahh I wish I still lived in Canada, I am Canadian.

Yet another event goes by and I’m still unable to play Halo 4. The wait for Nov. 6 is killing me!
