So I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about Armor Coatings (not me I like the idea sort of as long as it’s not mainly paid for), and so I have an idea for a LEGO Ideas styled website, where people can submit their own Armor coatings, and if it proves popular enough, 343 will look at it and potentially add the Armor into Halo Infinite.
Imagine a contest… where the winner gets to design their own armour coating!

That would be really cool. Kinda reminds me of fan forge maps making it into the playlists.
Literally just take the Warframe Tennogen system and convert it for Infinites use. Part of the profit goes towards the creator and the other 343. Coatings get voted on by the community and get added to a round every few months.

Warframe uses Steam Workshop as a voting system for tennogen. You really wouldnt need a new website for it.

Unfortunately, I dont have a computer, I use an iPad.
I really like the idea of having something similar to Warframe’s Tennogen or in general a way to make and vote on armor coatings we collectively would want added into Halo Infinite. If we can’t pick our own colors, allowing us to have more substantial input into what we DO want from coatings instead of just providing general feedback about armor coatings we like to them would be a nice addition to soften that loss. I feel like while 343 says that armor coatings unlock a more limitless potential to colors and patterns on Spartans(and more), its actually pretty hard to visualize how limitless that actually is to the player. Especially me. A tool like Warframe’s Tennogen could be a way for 343 to truly show that beyond their own designs and provide to people the Player Customization’s version of Forge.
I hope they consider this idea. If not at launch, somewhere in the 10 years that 343 aims to go for would help 343 make Infinite stand out more, beyond Halo’s arena design and their rumored BTB 2.0, from other games it’ll have to compete with in the FTP market.
