Falsely banned for cheating Confirmed

@LouisFF How about contributing something valuable to the discussion instead of clicking some nice looking little icons?
But I guess you don’t wanna elaborate why the post is ā€œbaitā€

For players who don’t spend money on the game, it is not as serious for them. I too have spent money on the game, a personal and conscious choice. I would be upset if I got banned as a loyal customer and player. I’m sorry if you honestly weren’t cheating, think about a lawsuit?

I meant to reply to OP

The ban is not permanent. But after the ban i will always be scared to play the game since i have no way of stopping it. A cheater would see the one month ban as an opportunity because he didnt get perma banned. A legit player who is banned for cheating has no way of protecting himself from getting banned for cheating again since he doesnt know what caused it.

Did they explicitly say you wre banned for cheating?

Yes they specificaLy stated it was for cheating.Thats the problem

Exactly my point, dude. That zarrowsmith guy claimed he had evidence. In reality, he didn’t so I called his bluff.

It’s not really rocket science dude. You wanna prove your innocence? Bring evidence. 343 seemingly had theirs.

And another thing, just because YOU want to believe everything that’s said on the internet doesn’t mean I have to. I thought this was suspect and I vocalized it. You don’t like it? Get over it.

If I’m wrong, I’ll say sorry and move on. But when you get banned for something like cheating, wouldn’t you want to keep quiet on that sort of thing and wouldn’t you bring some sort of evidence proving your innocence?

That’s all I’m saying.

I’m not rehashing the mnk/controller debate, but halo infinites case, mnk is behind in optimization compared to controller. So yeah, I could easily see someone who is solely an mnk player feeling justified to hack in infinite. I’m not saying every mnk player, but some.
The problem for us console players is we can’t be sure who is or who is not hacking in the PC community. So unfortunately, everyone gets tarred with the same brush and there’s little wiggle room of benefit of doubt to actually believe someone when this type of thing comes up, as in this very case. Again, I recall that streamer who was walling during a livestream of a tournament. Everyone could see what he was doing and he flat out denied that he was hacking while everyone could see his hack in the stream. Nature of this beast unfortunately.

Welcome to the club.

P.S Just block him so you don’t get notifications from his medals.

Hm, looks like you can’t block him since his profile isn’t public. At least I can’t find an option to do so. Not that big of a problem, I’m not really bothered by little kids and trolls.

Oh you can. Head to settings and click the drop down. You’ll see users and it will show you where you can add users to your block list.

You aren’t the only Spartan I’ve seen get banned. It’s truly an unfortunate situation to be in. Good luck with the process of not being banned. Games today are just too easily manipulated by people.

Thanks for the good words , its good to have some people that dont blacklist me instantly and try to feel how i feel as a false banned player. Halo infinite is the only game where i got false banned. I ve been playing mcc more than infinite in general and i was never banned even if i did well and thats because there is a decent anticheat there and reports from tilted players dont matter. In infinite there is no decent anticheat system and 343 gives more attention to player reports. I am confident i got banned because of tilted players reporting me because the anticheat cant detect what isnt there.

I haven’t read this whole post, there’s a lot.

It wasn’t just one person, it was multiple people who reported you. Doesn’t matter if you were cheating or not, if there’s enough players reporting you the ā€œsystemā€ will ban you.

Bans are getting way ridiculous these days.

Take COD MW2 for an example. They have in-game scripts that will trash talk the other player but if you do, you risk getting banned.

i know and thats what happened.

what evidence would be sufficient in a forum that doesnt allow videos or links?

Why did you post here on a forum that doesn’t allow links?

Why not reddit where they allow links?

coz i never used reddit in my life and i use halowaypoint a lot

Well, you certainly had a higher chance of getting a dev to respond there than here. I see dev responses all the time there.

Question: how do you know this?
