Anyone else get this? They have caused my death many times. I see the label ‘Sniper Rifle’ and go for it, only to find someone just picked it up and killed me with it, only ‘it’ was something completely different. Is there any news on when this is going to be fixed?
Also, why do weapons disappear so fast?
yep, happens once every two games if not more when im playing btb with my friend. he’s working on macing out fuel rod and i saw the ordnance map drop so i ran over, telling him on mic that it dropped and then we get there and its a sticky det or some crap. sniper thing happens as well, ill run over because it says sniper and its just plasma nades. =/
I think the troubles with the ordinance is due to the networking code. I know drop recon was really busted for a while. The last title update fixed most of the issues with drop recon, however there are still problems.
I do see mislabled ordinance often times and have had the same experience you have had. Hopefully the next title update will fix the ordinance issues completely.
Weapons disappear quickly for two reasons, it conserves “resources” and if weapons stayed around longer you would see maps even more crowded with power weapons due to personal ordinance.
Happens occasionally to me as well. Hopefully 343 are addressing it (along with other glitches/bugs) in the TU.
This happens to me pretty often, along with another problem as well.
This happens only occasionally, but when I pick a certain ordnance drop, it will give me something else entirely. One time, I picked the option to get a Binary rifle, but it gave me a needler.
Anyone else have this problem?

Yep, when I play Dominion, it says SAW when is Rocket Launcher. Says BeRi when its Plasma grenade. Sometimes, it will correct itself though.
That and I’ve sen the label remain after the weapon is gone.
