You fall off a phantom with a grunt. He held on to you for dear life trying to escape after you sabotaged it and caused it to blow up. You have a jetpack, a spartan falling with the grunt, you see how sad he is. Before all this when you hijacked the phantom he was bullied by brutes pushed around and forced to be the lowest of the pack. The other grunts were too scared to help him, and when they did they couldn’t help him becauseof there obviouse advantage with their strengths. They mercilessly beat him and pushed him around, they messed with his life support by trying to clog it, trying to see how long he can go without panicking and placing bets. You see blood fresh on him as both of you fall realizing the explosion didn’t cause it. He is so close to you that you can hear his failing life support, him chocking on his own blood, breathing fast because of the fear of death approaching. Your jetpack doesn’t have enough thrust to hold both of you and will cause you to plummet to your deaths, but being a spartan you may be able to land right and may possibly survive. The only other tool on you is your knife and a grav hammer you stole as you jumped. You do see a cliff below but if you go past it you will die for the shere drop is more than 2Km. It is not guaranteed you may live without keeping jetpack for yourself. What do you do as you fall?
Throw the Grunt into a nearby leafy tree to cushion his fall, miraculously land safely yourself, shake it off, go and find the little guy and safely assist him down, and then go home and spend the rest of days with your new best buddy and tell stories to anyone who will listen about the time y’all basically reenacted a scene from Point Break together over some drinks.
Save the grunt all the way
I’d just probably kill the grunt, and jet-pack to safety…I’m kidding.
I’d use the jet-pack to kill some momentum from the fall, then shield the grunt with my body, landing on my back, destroying the jet-pack on impact. Then I’d have a grunt buddy!

This grunt story is really sad. Anyway, first I would try to help the grunt with his life support system, hold him and use the jetpack at a considerable hight to manage the fall damage and once thrust is gone, use grav hammer and smash it downward so the pulse that the hammer emits cushions a bit your fall by creating a certain amount of air resistance, and they’re you go, both you and the grunt are saved
To be honest, I think when facing potential death, it isn’t that hard to choose between an enemy or yourself. Regardless how sad of a story it is for an enemy, during a war, you ain’t out there looking for sympathy.
༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ praise the grunts
I strap the grunt to the jetpack halfway from the ground and let him land safely. Before hitting the ground I use the grave hammer to push myself back and remove the momentum coming down. If I fall too close to the cliff edge, I would pull out the knife and dig it into the side of the mountain, hoping that it helps buy me time to get a grip on the rocks. After climbing out I go over to the grunt, treat his wounds, and become friends (⌐■_■)
I would use my jetpack to break as much momentum coming down as possible while also using the gravity hammer to soften my landing at the last second. After landing I would treat the grunts wounds and then I would have my own grunt buddy.
Im a CE spartan so I would simply just get ready to crouch right before impact an problem solved - no fall damage.
As for the grunt, the jetpack is his…if he’s willing to trade me the Fist of Rukt for it (I know he has it, the grunts with a sad story always do).
I’m going to save the little guy.
put jet pack on grunt
use grav hammer to slow fall to a good survivable rate
find grunt
grunt happy
grunt buddies now yay
Give the jetpack to the grunt and break my fall with the gravity hammer
