It was accurate to the lore in a general arc, but the small things were annoying like post-war Naval uniforms. Also…there was no Fall of Reach in the show titled THE FALL OF REACH. I was hoping to see the conflict itself and maybe some other new bits and pieces rather than the brief one hour story of John showing how much better he is and all the Spartans fawning over him. I don’t know, it just seemed so underwhelming. The nod to Jorge was really nice though.
Didn’t watch it yet.
I thought it was alright but it only covered half the story. They also changed some little things from the books like John not catching the coin, John starting the fight with the ODST’s after augmentation, and customized Mark IV helmets.
I thought it was good. Not great but good. i did find it beneficial to explaining who was in master chiefs company without reading the source material(The book). I do think that putting the fall of reach on it is a little misleading. After watching though it does make me want to read the book now which might have been part of why it doesn’t show a lot of the book.

READ THE BOOK! Then read First Strike and Ghosts of Onyx. Eric Nyund is the man.
It was better than ‘Halo 5’ in terms of actually showing that Blue team is, you know…a team, as well as being characters that actually have a personal connection to the Chief.
Other than the misleading title, I thought it was good. It should have been called John 117: I Came Here to Kick Some @$$ and chew bubblegum, and I’m all Out of Bubblegum!
I liked it as much as I did the book. Though I can see why some fans are upset.
I’d give it a 6/10
It was alright but I couldn’t recommend it to anyone.
I was fairly disappointed.
I’d give it a 7 out of 10. There were a ton of small things that put me off. John not catching the coin. Every spartan having unique armor when they were supposed to all be the same (yes, they explain it, but it’s a -Yoink- explanation). The start of the fight with the ODST’s. They didn’t mention Sweet Williams when on the mission to capture Watts. And, the biggest issue, why did they not use Oly Oly Oxen Free as their sign and instead replace it with a -Yoink- Owl joke?! Why?!
I would have like to see the battle for Reach, but given it was supposed to be Chief’s origin, it didn’t bother me too much that they ended on Sam’s death. That was really where the formation of Chief ended. On the whole, it was enjoyable. The details that they changed/got wrong really detracted from it, for me but it was alright.
I didn’t know there was a show
Only seen the 1st episode the rest i dont want to pay for.
Was diespointed that they didnt cover the entire book. Liked tha canges the made though
watching it later!
My biggest issue was all of the self-referencing quotes and such.
The only thing I wanted to see, was the fall of Reach. See John at Gamma Station, show the generators….was really hoping to see those damn generators.
The fact that they left out the fall of reach is beyond me.

Or listen to the audiobook.
Made a thread about this when it first dropped. I asked where episode four was and a moderator told only went up to 3 wtf. The title of it was just as misleading as the hunt for the truth bs
