oh, you mean the LEAKED gameplay?

the one that was LEAKED from a guy who posted a LEAKED video of LEAKED halo 4 on LeakTube?

:stuck_out_tongue:

but Idc about fall damage…as long as it’s not ridiculous

the armor needs to be cheap somewhere
as the UNSC is shifting the Spartan project to an all-volunteer force

also, gameplay reasons

No I watched this video on youtube.

Ahem, it’s REALLY 343, REALLY? not REALLY 343 REALLY!
And where is the “I really don’t give two shists about fall damage.”?

What’s wrong with fall damage? Oh wait, let me guess; it’s because Reach had it, right?

Gawd, I hate this community.

Its still leaked if it is on youtube! Inb4lock

Anyway things are subject to change!

Yes, I know which video you’re talking about, and it is indeed leaked.

This is the second time you’re discussing leaked content, I suggest you read the Forum Guidelines to make sure you don’t break them again! Cheers!

Guys, if you look closely he is shot from behind shortlty after he falls! He does not take damage, alright? And, anyways you should’nt be discussing this.

Nothing wrong with fall damage. I like that it’s coming back.

The probably put this in the game so the Jet Pack tards can’t fly around everywhere and be invincible landing into the ground.

Fall damage punishes you for running away and losing map control. It also works to punish jetpackers who go too high. If they give us the option to negate fall damage by crouching (like in CE) then I fully support it’s addition.

No it wasn’t because reach had it. Its because in halo 3 you had no fall damage and in this game the spartan 4’s have more advance armor but take fall damage. What i’m saying is that it doesn’t make sense.

How do you know that it’s more advanced?

The SPI armor might’ve been issued after the MJOLNIR Mk. IV, but that doesn’t mean the SPI is more advance.

Halo 4 is I think 4 years after the events of halo 3. Why would they give them less advance armor?

They aren’t better than the Master Chief. Spartan IIs were bred from a very young age. Spartan IVs were volunteers from people like the Marines or ODSTs.

Also Halo CE had fall damage, so Master Chief was also susceptible to it. Fall damage was probably not included in Halo 3 just because of game-play purposes.

its really funny how easy people change their opinions just to make themselves feel like the game will be perfect i remember when the poll was created on if we wanted fall damage and it was 80% no now that it is official everyone is ok with it.

I don’t like fall damage. :frowning:

Well, a dozen of MJOLNIR suits costs about as much as a battlegroup of destroyers. Do you really think that the UNSC has deep enough pockets to supply an unknown amount of super soldiers with the standard MJOLNIR? The UNSC just barely got out of a galatic war, and ONI is pushing for a second one! There is no way they can afford the standard MJOLNIR Mark VI, so instead, they issued a cheaper variant.

The logic on this forum never ceases to amaze me.

Jet Pack: bad because it can make vertical shortcuts

No fall damage: Good because it can make vertical short-cuts.

Honestly? Besides if you really hate fall damage that much, just use the thruster pack, I am sure that can at least slow you down.

We don’t really know enough about Spartan fours to judge how they stack up to the twos. In Glasslands the way they were described was a collection of elite volunteers. So kinda like ODSTs but on steroids. There wasn’t much said if they were even augmented and who knows how the armor stacks up to Mjolnir MK VI. REAL Spartan threes had semi powered infiltration armor not some Mjolnir variant. It was semi powered because they utilized prototype camouflage tech derived from covenant tech. It wasn’t anywhere near as sophysticated as Mjolnir and had no shields or benefits to supplement physical ability. It was a cost thing though. Spartan threes were literally labeled as disposable heroes. So their gear wasn’t supposed to be the best. However since Spartan fours have been in service since 2553 and are being trained on our most advanced warship that we’ve ever made perhaps their gear could be directly derived from Mjolnir, just without the force multiplying circuits so nobody moves the wrong way and the armor keeps moving. Next thing you know you got a platoon of Spartan fours with shattered bones, unless they have had ceramic bone graphts.
