This has been an issue with my friend and I for about a week. Whenever we get in the pilot seat of a Falcon, we can’t get off the ground. The engines rev up a bit but fail to make the vehicle ascend. Who else has this problem and how do we fix it?
You’re pressing and holding the proper button, yes? They handle differently from other vehicles in that a button press is needed rather than joysticks alone; on Bumper Jumper, holding LT makes them fly, and pressing RB (or was it LB?) will lock their altitude for when you want to keep flying, but without ascending.
We know how to fly the Falcon, we’ve had the game since release. It just won’t ascend when we’re holding the trigger anymore.
what’s the control layout you have? and check if the trigger is broken (won’t work for ANYTHING), but thats really unlikely…

Oh. My mistake. Sorry if my post sounded patronizing, then.
Maybe try changing your controls, and seeing if that helps?
My control scheme is the default, my friend’s is Recon, and we can use the right trigger fine with anything but the Falcon still refuses to take off.
Reach still has problems on PC with controls, but what I noticed is the following behavior with Falcon:
a) The ascend key is the same key as primary action (fire). LOL so to ascend you keep firing, ala “Jetpack Joyride”
b) Like choppers the world over, it takes awhile to get warmed up at first before takeoff. When those initial Banshees appear, shoot them while landed and a couple waves of them later you’ll be taking off.

Don’t revive 9 year old topics please.
You can either post in the MCC Support forums or file a bug report on the Halo Support site if this is something reproducable
