One thing I miss about Halo 3 is the Hornet. I miss it because some of the most fun I’ve ever had in the game was grabbing the Hornet with two friends and storming the enemy base to grab the Flag and fly it back to our base. Sadly this can’t be done in Halo Reach because the Falcon only has two gunners and no passenger ability.
My question is this: Can the Falcon be configured to allow a third objective carrying passenger in Halo Reach? It would be amazing if they could so that we can carry the Flag in the air during Big Team Battle. If they think it’s too good because of its speed and two gunners, they could always remove one gun and make that empty space the passenger seat. Or they could add Spartan Lasers to the Map so it can be the quick anti-Falcon weapon.
Easy solution: Land a Banshee or Falcon near the objective, have a teammate grab the objective and jump atop your vehicle. Works for Boneyard every time. The best part about it is that people don’t expect it.
> Yeah… it’s not exactly the “warthog of the sky” if it can’t passenger an objective carrier.

Exactly. It would make the game a lot more fun if it could help carry an objective. Sure you can currently jump on top of it but it’s not the same as just hopping in like the Warthog.

That would work. Now I really wish it would happen.

Why that wasn’t thought of originally I’ll never know.

They probably assumed because it was really fast it would be too easy to score with the flag. But I think if they have Spartan Lasers added to the maps it would make it easier to take them out.

Also it’s pretty weak since snipers and DMRs can bring it down.

That’s true too. One thing that has to happen though is team work or someone paying attention. You need to be able to get to a power weapon and then have the common sense to save a shot for the Falcon. Timing is everything.

Exactly, even though if it were up to me, the Halo 3 vehicle system would return, but the Falcon spped would have to be reduced considerably and maybe add more rockets and lasers.

It also depends on the map too. In some maps they could add Gauss Warthogs, Scorpion Tanks or maybe even Banshees. Avalanche in Halo 3 was my all time favorite map because it had all those things. Reach needs something like that.

For some reason Bungie was very anti-vehicle when it came to Reach. Maybe because people complained about not being able to kill a Warthog (lol).

I can understand that somewhat. Warthogs on Standoff were crazy godlike most of the time and I don’t know why. But they should nerf them because of that. Hemorrhage without the Scorpion for example just annoys me. One thing that map needs added are Scorpions and Banshees. This is what made Coagulation awesome. Big, Epic, Vehicle combat. That’s what we need more of.
